The title says SOFT, but its not soft at all

I suggest, once the store re-opens to come and try the 2 below products, they are much softer than the one you purchased.

It's really hard not soft as written on it

I get popping in my back when I use this and feel so much better after. Wonderful.
I bought this product a week ago, and use it every day. It feels strongly built with durable material, yet it's really light. Thanks to its length and diameter it remains stable during all types of rolling exercises, such as back, lower back, gluts, ITB, hips. However, it would be nice to have a "hard massage" version.

How to use the foam roller?
Designed to be used after sport, it allows you to massage yourself. You can self-massage right after your outing, in the evening, or even the following day. For more intense massages, or for those used to athletic massages, check out the 500 HARD Massage Roller (hard, structural foam), also in this range.
What are the use precautions?
For adults only. When using a massage roller for the 1st few times, it is common to feel some pain or experience some bruising. If the pain is intense and lasts a long time, consult your doctor. As to the bruising, it's only due to small blood vessels on the surface: don't worry, this phenomenon will stop as you carry on using the roller.
