Practical and much loved!

A bought this for my 90cm tall 3 year old who disliked the sleeping bag we already had for him. This sleeping bag, however, was loved so much that we've actually struggled to keep him out of it! It was bought and used for camping (and kept him lovely and warm!) but has ended up on his bed many nights since buying because he's adamant it is better than his duvet. I love the way it folds into it's own pocket. Having taken a large group of young children camping before, the one thing that virtually every child lost (after 1 night!) was the bag for their sleeping bag. There's no loosing it with this! Some simple folding and it easily goes into the bag, even my 3 year old has managed it! We have also discovered how many toy trains can fit in the pocket (12 small or 3 big...). The one improvement I'd love to see would be if it opened out fully (it *almost* does and my similar adult sleeping bag does properly) because when used inside it could be helpful to turn it into a duvet). That said, if you undo the zip fully, it can be used as a duvet, if you ignore the tiny amount of folded fabric at the bottom.

Sleeping bag

Kids love them, warm and comfy. Easy to stuff away and change the size so they fit all three of our 3-8 year olds.

STAY AWAY

Unless your child is a physics genius, you should stay away from this item, as you will forever be hassled with rolling up and store the bag. It doesn't come with the usual bag for storage, but some kind of attached pocket on the top corner, which will take hours for any grown up to simply work it out - if he/she actually manages to do it at all !!! - let alone a child! And no instructions! Ridiculous.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Padding: 100.0% Polyester ; Lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Outercover: 100.0% Polyester

Usage temperature:

We display the ”comfort temperatures” on all our sleeping bags, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in compliance with European standard EN 13537 of 11/04/2002. The ”comfort temperature” is the lower comfort limit at which a user in a relaxed position maintains thermal balance and is neither too cold nor too warm (determined under normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag accordingly!

However, this is what you need to know about temperatures:

A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (size, fatigue, etc.), equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).If you are tired and cold and you get into a cold, damp sleeping bag, you'll probably feel cold, irrespective of the qualities of your bag!

Specifics for kids:

Choose a sleeping bag that’s appropriate for your child's size. The more air there is to heat, the more energy the body will use to keep warm and the greater the risk of getting cold during the night.Similarly, your child will lose most heat through their head. In cold weather, you can put a hat on them.

Our environmental approach:

We are aware that we must act to preserve our outdoor playground and are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products.By using the ”biton” process for the interior of this sleeping bag, we are able to reduce our impact on the environment. In fact, by dyeing just one yarn out of every two, we reduce our water consumption and environmental impact. But this is still not enough, which is why we are aiming to make this product 100% eco-friendly by 2026.

Washing your sleeping bag

We recommend you use a washing machine with a minimum 7 kg capacity and close the zips on your sleeping bag.

Product design: our expertise

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location is a place where our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) can meet with outdoor sports enthusiasts. A significant advantage for designing high-quality products and giving you access to all our expertise.

Where do our children's sleeping bags come from?

This sleeping bag was designed in our international design centre at the foot of Mont Blanc, in France, and then manufactured and assembled by our suppliers in China, India and Bangladesh. We work in close collaboration with these partners who have extensive experience of making our sleeping bags. Thanks to this relationship of trust with our industrial partners, we can create high-quality technical products.

Working conditions in our production workshops

We guarantee that our suppliers comply with our code of conduct. These suppliers are often located in developing countries where our presence helps to create jobs.By conducting audits and having teams on site, we make sure that the working environment of the employees meets certain quality standards in terms of human respect, personal fulfilment and environmental protection.

Product testing

It’s in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that our design team conceives, designs and creates Quechua products. We test them in the field with other campers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. Brittany, Corsica... We go to as many places as possible, in all weather conditions. Great conditions for discussion, which is precious to gain your feedback and plan our new products!

Storage instructions

Easily store your bag away by putting it loose in its cover. To keep it fluffed up and ensure good thermal performance, remove from its cover, extend and store it in a dry place.
