A little nervous about buying from this vendor as I've not worked with them before. Decathlon shipped my order quickly (within a couple of days) and the item came well packaged. The Oxelo 7XL scooter is great. I bought my wife the Razor A6 scooter for Christmas while I got this one for myself. The Razor is great but the Oxelo has some really nice features, especially as a "commuter" scooter. The hand brake is nice, especially for the novice rider. The Razor is slightly bigger, but the handlebars and grips on the Oxelo are superior to the Razor brand, but the nicest feature is the suspension. It creates a very smooth ride. It takes a little getting used to, but now having ridden both the Razor A6 and the Oxelo... I prefer the Oxelo.
It is extremely hard to fold so I never fold it. I can’t bring it to stores because most stores will ask me to fold the scooter. The suspension is working and is good for using it in NYC. For the price and suspension system, this scooter is probably the best option for me on the market. It has been half year since I bought it, I use it occasionally and it is working fine. The one thing I wish Decathone could provide is self maintain guidance. There is no Decathone store in East Coast, I wish at least on Decathone website they could sell the replacement parts and provide tutorials on how to replace and fix the scooter at home.
Descent build quality overall - like the deisgn. That being said, there is one MAJOR flaw with my unit.... I believe I have seen this in other reviews, so might be a QC issue with Oxelo - THE HANDLEBARS AND FRONT WHEEL ARE MISALIGNED. There is a very noticeable 15 degree offset between the front wheel and the handlebars i.e. to track straight you need to steer 15 degrees left. Not quite what I expected.
smooth ride and all but it is extremely hard to fold and unfold. it took me a while to unfold it originally and now i literally cannot fold it back up. i planned on taking this to school but if i can't fold and unfold it myself, then what's the point? pretty color though
I haven't ridden a scooter since middle school, so I was pretty excited to ride one made for adults again after all these years. The scooter feels extremely sturdy and weighty, without being incredibly heavy to carry around when needed. With the extra suspension, the ride experience is absolutely smoother on those bumpy city sidewalks.
This scooter is very sturdy and such a pretty color. It requires minimal assembly and is pretty easy to figure out. The only thing I didn’t like is that the instructions had almost no words, but there are videos online to help out. I needed a little help figuring out how to collapse the scooter at first. I’m 5’6”, 170 lbs and this scooter is the perfect size for me. Super fun to ride, big wheels with good shocks. Love it!
Good scooter! Easy to use and comfortable suspension. Would have been good to have a more reliable disc brake hand brake rather than a friction brake which does not last long, wears the wheel and heat fades quickly

Are there any particular safety precautions to take when using the town 7xl scooter?
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads) when scootering.Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: spend time learning the basics so that you can control your speed and brake in emergency situations in all weather conditions. Stop use when the ground becomes slippery.
What is the glide quality like on the oxelo town 7 xl?
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm high bounce PU rubber wheels. This makes it ideal for any journey. A large wheel makes it easier to build up speed with minimum effort.The ABEC 5 bearings are very high quality to limit the amount you have to push yourself along, as well as limiting fatigue.
How should you maintain your scooter?
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them occasionally and change them if necessary.You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.

What safety precautions should you take?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary.
What should you do if there's play in the handlebar?
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring, and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
