Product Customer Reviews

What a deal! I'm impressed with the quality
A combination used several times in Swimrun to help the discipline. No need to buy another one for now, it does the job perfectly!
She formed plaice and suddenly it's cut never put on except for the fitting
It adapts very well to the body and is very comfortable
nothing to say in line with my expectations
Good
The suit is very comfortable like the entire 500 range, but the legs are about 5 cents shorter
Simple to put on and easy to take off. I tried in water at 16° which is not the purpose of this combination but despite this the test was conclusive. I recommend.
Although I have not tried it in the water, I am very satisfied with the fit of the wetsuit which, thanks to the elasticity of the product, adheres perfectly to the body without hindering movement. Easy to put on and above all, thanks to the large zip and long grip tape, easy to take off even without anyone's help.
Excellent product, adheres like a second skin, very comfortable. Recommended product.
perfect
I wore the shorty kitesurfing in the Mediterranean for 3 months this year during the months of June-August. Very comfortable, very good fit and almost no signs of wear. Even in the hip area where the trapeze fits and rubs on the Neo, there are no noticeable signs of wear. Only one seam in the shoulder area came undone slightly, but it only affects the inside and doesn't go through to the outside.
Beautiful, resistant and flexible clothes. I recommend it to everyone!
Very satisfied with this long side shorty. Effective, flexible, easy to put on. It takes time to find the right size. After that it's all comfort.
Sold for men but in fact it is my companion who uses it. No worries, it's unisex. Very good value for money.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)
The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 44 and 53°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models. NB: the 900 models are easier to put on.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water). Try it on before you buy it!
How does neoprene work?
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in two ways: 1. The trapped water gradually warms up; 2. Heat transfer from the body decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.
Materials
Tribord 500 wetsuits are made of 100% neoprene to ensure optimal thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
Neck
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.
Fastening
Our zips and fastenings are laboratory tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Windproof
The windproof panel on the torso of the wetsuit (Fine Mesh smooth neoprene) helps prevent the shivering that can occur as a result of windchill when surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing or kitesurfing. This component improves the thermal comfort of the wetsuit.
Greater freedom of movement
The Tribord 500 men's wetsuit collection has a cut and materials designed to increase freedom of movement and make paddling easier: There is no underarm or armpit stitching, the top of the chest and shoulders are made from ultra-flexible neoprene and all the seams are stretch seams.
Key pocket
A key pocket is positioned along the back zipper.
Anti-chafing design
We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.
Stay warm for longer thanks to our thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own outfit...
When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties. - in cold water (53 - 62°F): High booties (boots) and gloves. - in very cold water (44 - 53°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top...Find our entire range of neoprene accessories at decathlon.fr
Multi-water sports wetsuits
Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding).
