Question:
Does it arrive built and ready to use or flat and needing expert assembly?

The bike arrives 95% assembeled so depending on your mechanical ability the assebly is minimal. Front wheel install, seat post inserted and pedals installed. You will likely need to inflate tires as they not shipped fully inflated.

Are the disk breaks hydraulic?
Answer:
No these are full cable disc brakes, but work very well.

Appologies it should only be $100..., it seems the issue was flagged and repaired on 11/30..not sure when you attmepted the purchase but it should be good now. If for some reason it is not. Product Customer Reviews
Taffy bike for 20 years for 16km daily in town, previously on a very old riverside 320. Radical change in efficiency, I went from the 20km/h range to 30km/h, for the same effort. Does the job very well for its price, and I was able to mount my old luggage rack. The position is sportier, but for a journey of less than 10 km, at over 40 years old, I don't feel any discomfort. Try it in store to see for yourself. The pros: speed, liveliness, lightness, just the right level of complexity for my needs. The mechanical disc brakes are not impressive but are enough to lock the wheels if necessary, progressive braking without danger, including in the rain. The lighting is great, the mudguards do the job. The minuses: the tires, I expected the worst, honestly it even passes in the rain if I'm careful, but for my needs it's absolutely necessary to have puncture-proof tires. Already one puncture in 1 month where I didn't drive much. A small problem on the speeds, the 8 jerks when I restart at low speed, long wait to have it adjusted in the workshop, without result. I drive in 7 and switch to 8 only on the smoothest parts, that gets around the problem. The left rear attachment of the mudguard: I messed up a screw while mounting it and the next one cannot be screwed in all the way. I met another recent owner with the same problem in the same place, either we have the same clumsiness or a manufacturing problem.
I am very satisfied, very good bike
Overall good but insufficient lighting and transmission which frankly lacks precision.
The bike is simply great. For under 500 euros, it is well equipped and makes a solid impression. Delivery went smoothly. Not a bike for running but pleasant for touring. Happy Easter.
Excellent value for money, this bike is perfect for quick trips around town. Easy to maintain, it proves reliable over the long term (change of pads after 1 year, no punctures, etc.) Be careful though: the tires are thin. Vigilance is required near tram rails or when it is raining/snowing.
I don't know why all comments before March 2024 were deleted on this bike, so let me reaffirm my love for it. I must have done around 12,000 km with it, more or less long outings and a lot of cycling, and it's really the most balanced bike that I know from Decathlon even today. Super light, price below the mental bar of 500 euros, it tracks, it lacks a little low speed, but I still don't regret my purchase. Still my daily today and for the (at least) next 2 years.
Hello, great bike, nothing to say, however the front lamp no longer works and in the store there was nothing they could do, they sent me to the website to make a complaint. Since on the mobile application the after-sales service button does not work, I go back to the comments section. Can you help me ?
Simple, proven and effective mechanics in a dress that changes from black! The machine should undoubtedly prove itself. The design is flattering, the position comfortable.
used daily for 2 years, good cycling because well equipped. on the other hand reliability to be reviewed, already a brake cable changed and pedal protection not found in spare parts. braking is not exceptional for discs. The price reduction indication is misleading because when it was released it was €399.
Super!
I have been using the bike every day for 2 months, and around 40 km per week. It's a very nice and very light bike. A single chainring with 8 speeds is enough for everyday use with ups and downs in town and on cycle paths. The brakes are good and responsive. The tires are not wide and as a result you feel the slightest bump and holes in the road, it's a bit stiff. Avoid on very poor roads and I imagine on cobblestones. When replacing, I'm going to see if I can put a little wider tires to increase comfort. Decathlon, can you recommend other tires for comfort? It's a bike for the city, but it is difficult to place the bike in a parking rack between two hoops, because the mudguard is held by two horizontal rods on each side of the wheel. And with the thickness of the stems, the bike has difficulty fitting into the space reserved for the wheel. The stems are already twisted. It's a bit of a shame for a city bike. The mudguard fixing system needs to be reviewed. The lighting is good, but I installed a luggage rack and the rear red light is too low, it is hidden behind the luggage rack and even more so with a bag placed on it. See the red light again above. In conclusion, despite some minor flaws, it is an excellent bike, especially for the price, I have not found better at this price for a light bike with straight handlebars and disc brakes. So excellent value for money. Decathlon, you can continue in this direction with light bikes for the city.
Good bike, light, easy to handle, equipped with good mudguards, however I find that these tires are dangerous for riding in town, they slip and you really feel the defects on the road! As for the fact that it is puncture proof, after not even a month of use my rear tire punctured, I found myself with two holes in my tire..
You keep this bike without stock on purpose to buy everyone your more expensive bike that costs € 200 more and offers nothing more than hydraulic braking system ... ridiculous
The gears and brakes were well adjusted and anyone with a little know-how can do it themselves. The bike is light, looks stylish and rides very dynamically. The lamps are bright, unfortunately the front lamp does not shine too far forward/in the distance for my taste but rather just in front of the front wheel. It remains to be seen how durable the tires are. One point deducted for the lamp and the included tools, the Allen sockets unfortunately became distorted when the screws were tightened.
I'm 6'2" and ordered the extra large size. Fire great and doesnt look like a gatepost which can happen sometimes. Lovely Matt grey paint, great quality mudguards, wheels, and finishing kit too. Super comfortable to ride and most importantly for me, silent. Great to get a complete bike. Apart from maybe a pannier I don't need to add lights or guards. Really really happy and for under £400 this cannot be beaten. Thanks!
