Good glide and adaptability on all snow

I regret that the loan cannot be made in 165cm, the size of the skis that I am going to buy... I therefore doubt their maneuverability.

Promoted

Good skis, sufficiently rigid even without metal construction

Playful

I found the ski quite fun, even though it has a lot of rocker both at the tip and at the tail, it performs well on the slopes, obviously you can't ask for extreme carves. As for off-piste, I found it very agile and easy, it floats well and allows quick changes of direction.

Perfect, as expected.

Despite being too big, my wife enjoyed these skis in powder and on slopes with soft snow.

A dream

I got the Slash as a second ski next to my Slalom Carver. I was able to test it in Nauders for three days in a wide variety of conditions. The ski is playful to ride. Floated beautifully in both fresh snow (10cm) and slushy snow. It's also really fun on powder snow. Walks nicely on the edge. Starts to flutter at high speeds, but without it becoming critical. He doesn't like being "hard" - but he's not made for that either. It's definitely a lot of fun and will probably be your first ski. Conclusion: great job, Wedze!

Very good pair of…

Very good pair of skis. The skis are very playful and easy to handle, but as soon as you have speed they tend to vibrate and be less precise on the slopes.

Thought I'd give an update on my review end of last season. This season I've had a lot more time on these skis now, probably 100hours. I also replaced the bindings an fitted Marker Squire 11's, so the ski is now much lighter. The main limitation of these skis is on steep hardpack when the chatter can be unpleasant. That said the majority of the time these skis are a lot of fun. Great fun on groomed runs, fast in the turn and seem to be very quick to accelerate, sometime that speeds needs to be hauled in. I've been in the glades a lot around tight tree lines, all great fun on these skis. Powder has been a bit limited, but the lines so far the skis have been great. I'd seriously consider buying a wider version of this ski as a more dedicated powder ski, especially if it had extra stiffening, Titanal etc. Still give this ski full marks

very good skiing…

very good freeride ski

Better than the competition!

Tested over a full season and on all types of snow... Very versatile ski and very pleasant to ski! Positive points: - it carves great without problem - very handy despite the total weight (tested in 165) - wears well - excellent value for money - apparent solidity after one season Negative points: - HEAVY of the bindings and therefore of the total, quite heavy to carry between the parking lot and the chairlift, and worse, on the bag or shoulder to go and find a few turns on foot on a virgin slope - have little grip on the ice (normal given the width) Having had Prodigy 2.0s, I can tell you two things: 1, the skis are very similar once in use on the slope and 2, the Faction were almost ruined after one season (very flimsy) while these slash 100, despite very little wear completely normal, can still serve at least 2 seasons without problem at this rate.

Without compromises!

I bought them in Switzerland last year. I ski 10-15 days a year. If you are looking for a bar that is good for everything, then this is what you need. I used it 50% on track and 50% in virgin snow. I've used Line Skis and Faction before, but in terms of price-value ratio, there is no better deal at the moment (the price of the binding alone is almost 100K) I'll be brief: Exterior: I love the minimal design that the design team hit perfectly, even at the bottom! On the track: it's a bit like a super g bar, so you can easily reach 100 speed with it and it's quite stable all the way, but if you have to jump with it or you get to a bumpy part, it performs well there as well. You can also ski backwards with it comfortably, you can keep it stable also at pace. Park: if we look at the new trends, practically this wide slats are used in the park. Jumping remains perfect and stable, you just need to tighten the binding well. You can have fun with it on boxes, but the +180 cm size is a bit big on the railing. What should be highlighted for me is that you can buttering with it very well (good flex), which also highlights its freestyle qualities. Powder: if you just want to make virgin snow then POW Chaser, but if you want to jump and do tricks in virgin snow then this is a better choice. In summary: a stable and fast board, but its playfulness should be emphasized both on the teasers, tricks, backside skiing and in the snow. I feel that this was the goal of the design team somewhere, to give the product a cool factor, and it succeeded. In my opinion, the products of the store chain are still underestimated in Hungary, but these products are far from representing only the middle or upper-middle category.... Thank you for doing this!

to it all skis

With 50+ cm of powder, they needed more speed after all, but otherwise I am very satisfied. I was surprised that they are not very light to carry, but when driving, the weight is not felt nearly as much.

Very nice and versatile

Very nice skiing. Does fairly well on piste except on very hard snow where it lacks a bit of grip, but that's not its playground. A surprising cat ski that is much more versatile than expected.

Freeride skis for settled snow

I tried the skis and I think they are ideal for off-piste with settled snow, which we usually have in Spanish resorts most of the time. In powder snow, the weight (depending on the height of the ski with respect to the skier) causes them to sink too much, although it will always allow you to enjoy. Tested in spring snow we found almost the same situation. On the track they surprised me very pleasantly, since their weight helps with greater rigidity and transmits stability that allows you to push down and a very, very good response. They are recommended skis for Spain, with which to enjoy off-piste with settled snow and to be able to be on the slopes without any problem

great on powder

tested on piste and powder over too short a period to fully appreciate this ski. but very good versatile leisure ski, I had a lot of fun.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Board (for surf): 5.0% Polyethylene, 45.0% Wood, 20.0% Polyamide, 20.0% Glass Fiber, 10.0% Steel

What are ski sidecuts?

The sidecuts correspond to the width of the tip, waist and tail. The wider the tip, the easier the turn entry. The narrower the waist, the stronger the grip in hard snow. The wider the waist, the more comfortable and stable in different snow conditions. Profile : Rocker/Camber/Rocker, Twintip shape.165cm: 137/102/124 mm, radius=13 mIn 174 cm: 138/104/124 mm, radius=15 mIn 183 cm: 139/106/124 mm, radius = 17 m

Which skier are you?

If to you a valley filled with snow is like a wave to surf. If to you skiing means creativity, the Slash is your ski. Designed for intermediate freeriders who do not necessarily have a lot of technical skill and are looking for a ski that floats, drifts, jumps, the Slash is for you.it is easy to manoeuvre, easy and playful. We have designed the Slash for intermediate freeriders seeking a playful ski to have fun during long days on the skis.

Description

With a 17m radius, fairly short for a freeride ski, the Slash is ideal to play with all the small features that the mountain has to offer. It is shaped like a playful ski; the pronounced rocker, long and progressive, guarantee buoyancy and easy handling in powder snow.

Choice guide

If you are a Freeriding beginner, the Rookie will be your ideal ski.If you already enjoy off-piste skiing, your choice will be between the Patrol and the Slash. The Patrol for those who love serious skis that grip and are versatile. The Slash is more for those who prefer super playful skis.Powder chasers will be delighted with Pow Chasers on their feet.

Structure

Light Woodcore Tec is a structure with a light wooden core (Palownia) reinforced with fibreglass for responsiveness and basalt fibres to cushion shocks. The advantage of this construction? It’s particularly handy for use on all the little bumps for playing, jumping and slashing. It enables the ski to be relatively playful on all terrains and snow.

Rubber tip and tail

The ski has a rubber insert on the tip and tail. This insert aims to cushion distortion and reduce vibrations caused by the Rockers.

Bindings

Branded binding LOOK NX 12 KONECT GW , Din 3.5 to 12.Compatible with soles -Alpine, GripWalk, IS05355. Suitable for boots between 260mm and 370mm.Reinforced ”Full Action” end stop with wider jaws for better control. User comfort thanks to the NX heel pad, easy to put on and with a very wide range of adjustment.

What is the rocker?

On a ”rocker” ski, the nose, and sometimes the tail, comes off the ground much sooner than with a cambered ski. This moves the points of contact towards the centre of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is shortened: they have better handling and more buoyancy on soft snow. When leaning into turns, the edge length offers more grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.
