Product Customer Reviews

Very warm and very light. Packs down to nothing to put in my golf bag. It's much better than expected. You'll definitely need to go up a size.
Great price/Great product
Shell and down are great quality. The zipper works after you get it started. I have had a difficult time getting the zipper started.
Are you kidding me? Stupidly light weight, warmth of down, wind resistant...all for 60 bucks? Mic drop. P.S. My new best friend for dog walking and cross-country skiing on those cold winter days in Ottawa/Gatineau :)

This is the cheapest gillet I have - yet it’s warm, is light and packs down really small into my rucksack. It’s not got great water reliance but it withstands a light shower. Great value for money.
Very good all round can be used for work, casual dress or mountains.
Really light weight item. Very warm over a fleece mid layer. Useful zipped pockets take a big wallet and XL sized phone with ease. Folds down to a tiny pack size when the weather warms up.
Bought size medium and size large for my husband, he was a little disappointed that the large was the better fit; but to be fair he is probably somewhere between the two sizes. This is similar quality to another lightweight gilet I looked at which was double the price. It’s been worn almost every day since Christmas so a great success. I was able to return the other size by post even though I bought in store, very quick and easy process once I’d emailed customer services.
Nice puffer vest to layering in this cold weather
I would not usually waste time providing a review but feel compelled to share that this garment is excellent in quality and fit so represents unbelievable value. You can buy this and the jacket version for less than what you would pay for one down jacket alone from the most competitive brands yet it is 100 per cent comparable to them. Also impressive is that it is Responsible Down Certified. Extremely chuffed with it and want to wear it all the time. Btw, I am a slim 5"10 with a 30 inch waist and medium sizes as snugly as if it were fitted (so if you're prone to adding a few pounds over winter you may wish to size up).
I’m 6ft 4, slim and ordered Large. Top quality gilet, comparable with some high end brands in fact. Lengthwise it’s acceptable. Not too short but would have enjoyed another inch or so for complete satisfaction. Chest is to size, but the material (navy) is quite shiny. Doesn’t bother me too much but it didn’t look like that in picture do loses a star.
I was ready to spend the money on a RAB until I watched a review on youtube, they compared this to a Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer which is considered the Number 1 ...both this one and the Whisperer dont have a breast pocket or any internal pockets which is why I didnt give it a 5*, the warmth fit and quality are very good for the price. this was my first time ordering from these people and the service and speed was 5* .. I will shop here again ... NB: im normally a xl but ordered a xxl .... perhaps I am getting bigger :(
This is a good gilet, especially considering the price, but the size is on the small size. A tight fit helps the heat stay close to the body.
Warm. Fits great and dual purpose, sport/ walking and casual.

Fill power of the down/feather filling
This 85% down / 15% feather down sleeveless jacket has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN (European standard). The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Consequently, the higher the fill power (i.e. the higher the CUIN number), the more space it occupies and the more air it traps thereby delivering more thermal insulation.
Weight of the filling
XS: 2.6 oz S: 2.8 oz M: 3 oz L: 3.2 oz XL: 3.5 oz 2XL: 3.7 oz 3XL: 4 oz
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: to provide equal warmth, feathers are lighter than synthetic padding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
Care advice for a gilet filled with down and feathers.
The sleeveless jacket will be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below:
http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket
The advantages of a gilet
A sleeveless jacket keeps the body warm: it protects the chest, neck and lower back from the cold, as these areas are especially sensitive to the cold. Given that there are no sleeves, it is not as heavy in the backpack, even more breathable when making a physical effort and extremely comfortable in use when worn under a jacket. Worn underneath the TREK 100 Down jacket, it can provide 6°C extra warmth when compared to a padded jacket worn without the sleeveless jacket.
In the event of rain
This sleeveless jacket's fabric is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the fabric so it takes longer for water to get inside the jacket, giving you time to find shelter. But the gilet is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the gilet in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.
How to reactivate the water-repellent property?
Follow the guide: https://www.quechua.fr/conseils/comment-reactiver-la-deperlance-de-sa-veste-a_86425 And use the care product: Wash-in waterproofing product that restores the water-repellent properties https://www.decathlon.co.uk/eco-wash-in-proof-250-ml-id_8408883.html It restores the water-repellent properties of the fabric and optimizes the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime.
A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Product testing
All our sleeveless jackets are laboratory tested in a 3 mph wind and worn as a 2nd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long-sleeved T-shirt). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, enabling you to make the choice that best fits your use. Worn underneath the TREK 100 jacket, it can provide 11°F extra warmth when compared to a down jacket worn without gilet.
