A pair of good boots, my wife recommends it, warm and comfortable.
I couldn’t find any waterproof boots to fit as I have permanent swelling of my ankles these are the only ones that do and they are waterproof!!
Really good for walking, worth the money
For the price these are good value. Have worn them in wet snow and they are waterproof but not as warm as I was expecting. Have added a woollen insole.
Love these boots but I have to say i brought some other last year that seem a lot lot warmer but they were lacking in grip these are great for grip but my feet aren’t toasty in them.
I researched snow boots extensively ahead of a trip to Norway to a snow resort, narrowing it down to these boots and two more expensive pairs. I am delighted I chose these. I wanted them as I wanted something I could travel on the plane wearing, eat in a restaurant wearing (eg smart), and obviously did the job. They are SO comfy, like trainers. We were in minus-10 conditions and they were warm. I didn’t spend time in actual snowdrifts (though walked through a few) so can’t really say whether the waterproofness held up, but so far so good! They are fairly narrow, as I wanted, and true to size. I am a 6.5 and wear them at home with normal thin socks and they’re fine. On holiday I wore them with a single technical ski sock, and they fitted and the socks weren’t too snug. I would suggest if you have extra wide feet or want thick socks, go up a half size. They’re smart and have a slight 80s/high top look to them. Well worth the money. Incidentally we bought loads at Decathlon ahead of the trip, and have been pleased with it all. Excellent value and quality.

Comfortable waterproof boot, perfect for walking on snow and slippy surfaces.
Looks good and fit well. Quite confortable. Annoyingly the top hooks don't lock the laces in place like on a walking boots. They are waterproof but no way near warm enough (sole not insulated enough) even if not walking on on snow.

Can you be sure that your boots are warm enough for your winter hikes?
Based on the field and lab tests carried out to measure the perception of cold with a panel of users, we gauge the thermal insulation of our boots when stationary (static 32°F) and when moving (dynamic 12°F). As a result, you now have an accurate measure of the temperature at which you are protecting with these boots. The comfort temperature ratings are given for the boots. We take into consideration the differences in perception between men and women.
How do your boots protect you from outdoor conditions?
Your boots are designed with a membrane to guarantee waterproofing and breathability. A membrane is a very fine component (5 to 25 micrometers) affixed to the inside of a fabric that prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape.
Breathable boots for optimal thermal comfort
Thermal comfort is a balance between the warmth of the boots and its ability to allow the foot to breathe. Too much heat or not enough breathability, damp accumulates and cold can set in. We have designed your boots with your activity in mind, be it occasional or regular, with a membrane that prevents water ingress and allows damp out.
How can you be sure that your boots are 100% waterproof?
We have checked that your boots are waterproof with laboratory tests that simulate walking with feet half immersed in water and with wear and aging tests in the field. During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (about 2.5-mile walk), 4000 flexes (about 5-mile walk), and 8000 flexes (about 10-mile walk). This boot model has been tested for up to 2000 flexes, which is equivalent to 2.5 miles of walking.
What is the difference between traction and snorkeling?
The traction of the boots depends on the number and shape of the studs. The grip is dependent on the materials of the sole and the tread pattern, like the tires of your car. Traction optimizes propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backward when going uphill, and stabilizes the boot. Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving grip to the sole.
What type of grip and traction does this boot provide?
Your boots, which are equipped with SNOWCONTACT soles, have been designed for maximum comfort in terms of traction for hiking and grip on snow. The arrangement and the height of the studs (3 mm) are strategically placed for optimal grip when hiking on snow. The surface and the tread pattern of the studs are designed to conform perfectly to hard snow surfaces and eliminate any excess water so that you do not slip.
What is the purpose of the snowcontact technology on the soles of your boots?
The SNOWCONTACT soles are made with a specific component and stud pattern that is designed to ensure the best possible grip and traction. SNOWCONTACT soles are more effective than traditional soles on snow. When walking on ice, the only way to ensure optimum safety is to add anti-slip grips to your boots.
Will your boots withstand regular use over the long term?
Our engineers conduct laboratory tests to ensure that the product fully complies with your satisfaction in use. Our verifications include the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV-resistance, abrasion-resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated aging.
How to choose the right footwear for snow hiking
To be well equipped in winter, we recommend that you follow these principles: Warmth: warmth provided by a warm pair of socks (ideally containing a suitable percentage of wool)Breathability: Choose the sock according to the intensity of the hike and make sure you get a breathable model to minimize moisture.Boot height: adjust the height of the sock to the height of the boot and preferably choose high models if want more protection.
