Picked this up today. I haven’t worn it yet so cannot comment on how waterproof it will be, but that said, the fabric looks tough and hard wearing, which given its a snowboarding coat, that’s what you might expect. I ordered the XL (I am 12/14 5ft 6in) as there was not a L in stock at the sale price. But, it fits well and has a little space for a fleece or jumper underneath. It has three pockets in the front and one on the arm. Two more inside which is great for either snowboarding or skiing, or going out without a bag. The colour is very nice and much better than I thought it would be (accurate to the pictures). It is a good length also and would keep your bottom dry if you were wearing it as a waterproof jacket on a day to day basis. I am a skier, and it will definitely be my backup jacket or maybe even my first choice. Pleased with my purchase.

Skvělá na zimu i na zimní sporty
Pohodlná bunda, která jen tak nepromokne a neprofoukne. Dostatečně volná pro jakýkoli pohyb (nejen pro lyžování) - jezdím v ní v zimě na kole, nosím na vycházky se psem atd. Pěkně zpracovaná, velká kapuce s regulací, dostatek kapes... maximální spokojenost!
Tato bunda splnila mé očekávání. Neprofoukne, nepromokne. Za mě skvělý kup.

Hallo, anfangs fand ich die Jacke super - hat allerdings gerade mal ein winter geschafft und dann ging der Reißverschluss nicht mehr. Das sollte bei einer Jacke bei diesem Preis nicht passieren!!!

Can you be sure your jacket will give you proper protection in bad weather?
To withstand bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.), the jacket has been developed with a component and assembly that keep the water out and reduce wind-chill. The waterproof rating is measured by placing the product in a special shower that replicates the real-life conditions encountered by snowboarders during use. Finally, we have spent a few days snowboarding, in all conditions, to validate the waterproofing of the product.
Water often gets in through the seams. does your jacket have waterproof seams?
As well as the waterproof fabric, we enhance the waterproofing of the jacket with taped seams. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. All the product's seams are taped.
Why is water-repellency needed for your jacket?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its ability for water to form on the surface without being absorbed because of a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using products available in our stores. All the waterproof jackets that we design for snowboarders are water-repellent.
What is a membrane and what's it for?
A membrane is an extremely thin component (between 5 and 25 micrometers) applied to the internal surface of a textile substrate to give it excellent waterproof and breathable capabilities. Our membrane components stop water from getting inside while allowing the water vapor generated by your body to pass through, when snowboarding.
How your jacket keep you warm
To keep you warm, we use faux-down fill insulation. The fill is a synthetic component made from polyester, which stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibers. Fill can be standard, hi-tech or silicone-coated, each with different properties (warmth, light weight, elasticity, etc.).
How to dress to avoid getting cold in the mountains
In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: Wear 3 layers of clothing, each one of which has a specific function. Your base layer must produce and retain warmth. Your hoodie or sweatshirt keeps you warm while the jacket protects you from bad weather. All these layers should be breathable to wick away moisture.
How to stop snow from getting in your jacket
Our jackets have elasticated snow skirts that can be adjusted at the waist. If you fall or are in fresh snow, the seal keeps the snow out.
How to look after your product
To optimize the performance and durability of your product, we recommend: Machine wash separately at 86°F. Synthetics cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. We recommend you wring it by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry-clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the water-resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray. Read the care label.
Why is the waterproofing value online and the one in the jacket different?
We designed our jacket by choosing a membrane that ensures waterproofness of 15,000 mm when you buy them. After each wash, the membrane becomes less efficient, which is why we also test the product to guarantee optimal waterproofing even after 5 washes. It’s this value after 5 washes that is printed inside the jacket so that the information remains true even in a few years when you sell your product.
