How can I be sure my jacket will give me proper protection in bad weather?
The Firstheat pants were developed with a rigorous arrangement and assembly to prevent water from entering and to limit the feeling of the wind , to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that they are waterproof, these pants were placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofing by skiing in different conditions for several days.
What's the point of having water-repellent pants?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Firstheat pants are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.
"Coated" pants: what are the advantages of this coating?
The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapor produced by an active body to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practicing your sport.
How do my ski pants keep me warm?
We use padding for insulation to help keep you warm. This polyester-based synthetic material traps air, the quantity of which will depend on the size of the fibers. Padding can be standard, high-tech or siliconized, each with different properties: warmth, lightness, flexibility, etc.
What are "breathable" pants?
It is a product that lets the water vapor produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To measure the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardized ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zippers, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. RET of the First Heat pants < 12
How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?
To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. 1 base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain the warmth and a pair of ski pants to protect you from bad weather.
Our Wed'ze products are tested in the real conditions of use for which they are designed—the snow, cold, and all the conditions you might encounter when skiing and snowboarding. The design teams ensure that the program for which the product has been designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.
