You don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain on rainy days, but you can wear a raincoat while carrying a backpack without feeling uncomfortable!

The two pockets on the waist are not very well designed and can easily get water in. If you want to retain this function, you should consider covering the outside of the pocket from top to bottom to reduce the possibility of water ingress. If you need a backpack for cycling, it is not recommended to buy this one, as the opening problem is more obvious.

This cape is absolutely not waterproof and is not at all suitable for hiking. It barely protects us from a light rain for a few minutes, but certainly not from a real rain that lasts for hours! Product tested during an itinerant hike in the Vosges at the beginning of August 2023
Very practical with a large bag on the back. Lightweight and compact when folded. Lack of colors

Component waterproofing
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).
Waterproofing of the garment
This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
Component breathability
Our rain poncho and cape ranges do not come with a waterproof/breathable membrane.Therefore, we recommend calm, gentle use to reduce perspiration rather than fast hiking!
Component water resistance
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.
Care
We recommend you use a re-waterproofing product (spray or liquid)To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimise the garment's performance throughout its lifetime.
