Complement

In my first post, I mentioned not taking care of a problem with the coating that was peeling off. In the end, without any “pressure” from me, a standard exchange was carried out. Congratulations to the Bouc Bel Air store team and its manager, Benoît. Next scheduled purchase.

Air bubble

While still young, an air bubble appears on the surface, very large, measuring 10 cm, and grows over time. I tried to return it and they didn't accept it, they said it was my fault, that I left the board in the sun. But I used the board very little, it still has a new color. Very very disappointed

easy to use with round waves

very difficult to use in many cases.

Ideal for learning to surf

Very light and relatively solid board (under normal conditions of use). Ideal for getting started while respecting the templates recommended in the description. The design is very nice and the price affordable for a first surfboard.

Foam quality problem that absorbs water

Observation after 3 sessions that the foam absorbs a lot (equivalent to a large glass) releasing the water after the session in the car (not in the sun, board dried with towel at the start). The foam is clearly non-hydrophobic and of poor quality.

Product weakness

Hello, I bought this longboard in April 2023. Used about ten sessions. No exposure to the sun, nor in a car in hot weather. During the last session, a bubble (bulge-detachment) appeared on the deck of the board, letting out water bubbles. Same phenomena on certain parts of the bridge but without separation. Apparently not covered under warranty. Too bad because the board is very pleasant to surf.

Rudder screw length is too short

The screw length of the rudder is too short, and the thickest part cannot be locked at all! Very wrong design!

Board Safety

Surfer of short boards and long rigid boards, I bought this 500 foam board, in July 2022, for safety. I used my rigid 9ft during small wave sessions in Capbreton, in the midst of a large number of often beginner surfers, with a non-zero risk of collision. Using this foam board, with its flexible fins, reassures me. Measuring 1m80 and weighing 80 kg, I appreciate his size. This Olaian 8'6'' behaves in the wave generally like my hardboard. On the other hand, I hesitate less to engage on the wave than with my rigid surfboard. Otherwise, I find, like Denis, that the carrying handle is located a little too low.

Bad experience

You have sold us a board with a defect. Both at the tip and at the tail it has wrinkles in the material

So happy with this purchased

Very well shaped surfboard. Surprisingly easy to turn with for it size. The handle in the middle is very convinient. Good quality.

GOOD BOARD TO GET NICE SENSATIONS

I STARTED WITH A SURF COURSE IN JUNE, THEN BUYING THIS BOARD (MY JIG 1M86, 89KG). PURE PLEASURE. THIS BOARD ALLOWS YOU TO WORK WELL ON YOUR TAKEOFF. GOOD STABILITY.

unbeatable value for money

Bought for the summer sessions, I enjoy it all year round. Confirmed surfer of 1m85 for 80kgs it goes on whatever the onshore conditions, small, soft glassy up to 1m50 without problem (avoid the Gravière on fire anyway :) in short, happiness. Only small downside but really to nitpick the carrying handle located a little too low on the board but that's just my opinion.

The first surfboard

The best board to learn to surf. Cheap, durable and comfortable. You can safely swim in 0.5-1.5 gallons as well as in shorebreak!
