very poor quality, the seam split on the leg the third time i used it. really disappointed as i have a lot of decathlon sports gear and i is usually great.

Bought this for dinghy sailing. It does what it says on the tin. It is warm and the knee pads are great. Really pleased with it so far.
Fad 2 where looks great
Fits me like a glove - perfect. Bought a Large (thought I'd be a medium). 5'10'' and 65kg. Very comfortable, extra protection on knees and shins - perfect for my sailing. No cannabis smell, but I bought in Decathlon in Portugal. Great value and as good as significantly more expensive wetsuits I've purchased in the past.
Used for my 14 yo teenage son for sailing, I didn’t want to spend a fortune as he grows every second but this product is actually really good quality and he likes it !
Good for the money but it stinks, so much my garage smells as it i'm growing strong green plants. This is even before its been worn. Airing it out doesnt seem to get rid of the smell.
Exactly as described. Go for the next size up. Was slightly too long but fits better
The wetsuit it is good enough, although all the protection pads make it quite stiff, and the few sizes available make it not perfectly fit for me. But the biggest issue is the smell. I never had such a smelly wetsuit. Once it's wet it will have a strong unmistakable smell of weed. And everything that will be next by will get the same smell. Not good if you can not keep it in a different room than your normal clothes.

If possible, it could be helpful if you could send us a photo of the label as then we can trace the supplier, because globally, this issue shouldn't be occurring. If I can pin point the source of the wetsuit, I can either advise you with confidence to exchange and not have the same problem, or I can liaise with the production team to see why this issue is still occurring.

This wetsuit fits nicely and keeps me warm. Unfortunately it smells strongly of marijuana. I have to keep it in an outside shed because it was making my house smell marijuana. I've had it hanging up for a few months now and it still has the same smell. Hopefully it'll wash out over the season this year.

This is an absolutely awful product not fit for sale! It works fine in the water but as soon as you get out it absolutely REEKS. Not just a bad smell, it actually smells exactly like stale cannabis. It has permeated every layer of my house and all my clothing. I have been in trouble at work because people think I am constantly smoking pot. Whereas in fact it is purely this atrocious neoprene catastrophe that was built for water but can't get wet. It's humiliating, it's frustrating and it is ruining my life
I am so sorry to hear of the issues with your Tribord wetsuit. This review has only just come to my attention but I hope you were able to find a solution via a refund or an exchange with your local Decathlon.
We do keep a track of the items that we process as defective and the reasons why, so that if there is a global issue we can identify a suitable solution or a product recall, as we endeavor not to sell any products that score an average below 3/5*. This issue is not something that has currently been logged, so I hope to reassure you that this is a one off.
I do appreciate your feedback and would like to apoligise once again for any inconvenience caused.

XL für 180cm / 80 kg passt perfekt. Hält auf dem Katamaran auch bei 14 ° Wasser/Luft warm, nur um die Nieren sollte es wärmer sein. Gegebenenfalls muss man noch ein Neopren-Shirt unterziehen. Die Qualität macht einen dauerhaften Eindruck. Leider hat es für dieses Produkt in diesem Jahr einen unverhältnismässig hohen Preisaufschlag gegeben und ich werde keinen zweiten Anzug für einen Kollegen bestellen.

The concept of thermal insulation using neoprene:
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in 2 ways: 1. the water trapped inside the wetsuit gradually warms up2. heat transfer from the body decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.Neoprene is a closed-cell elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties.

The Tribord DG500 neoprene wetsuit is made of 100% neoprene (thickness: 3 mm) to ensure optimal thermal insulation. The Tribord DG500 dinghy/catamaran neoprene wetsuit has a cut and materials designed to make sailing maneuvers and changing positions much easier.The arms and chest piece consist of a different piece of fabric to make maneuvers and movements much easier.The legs, buttocks and knees are also separate pieces to make sitting, crouching and changing sides in the boat much easier.All the seams are stretch seams.
Neoprene reinforcements on the dg500 wetsuit on the knees, buttocks and thighs:
It is reinforced on and below the knees and on the seat and thighs. The thickness is 7 mm on the knees for added comfort.The additional component works in two ways:- to reduce the wear and tear of the neoprene in areas that are the most exposed to friction on the boat (deck fittings, rubbing strake, carpet, etc., depending on the craft) - to reduce the discomfort of this friction on the knees, seat and thighs for the user wearing the suit and moving around on the boat
Construction of the neck of the dg500 dinghy/catamaran neoprene wetsuit:
The neck finish and height has been developed to limit the sensation of discomfort from the neoprene and irritation on even the most sensitive skin. However, not everyone's skin reacts in the same way: in this case, we recommend that you wear a top under the wetsuit to reduce sensitive rubbing and chafing.

Storage instructions
Once dry, store on a hanger away from direct sunlight.Rinse with fresh water to remove salt that could damage the neoprene and the zippers.Avoid direct heat sources. Hand wash recommended.
