Product Customer Reviews

True fit, comfortable and good quality
All around great coat! Fits well, nice and warm, great zippers and hood. Just wish it had armpit vents.
Bought this for a trip as I needed a warm and waterproof coat for various outdoor activities. Bought the medium, usually I'm a small and it fit well. I could fit a baselayer and thick fleece underneath. One day it rained 24/7 on my trip. I was outside for the majority of the day and was dry the entire time! I however didn't find it warm enough for below freezing temps. But that is just me. It worked great for 0-10 degrees celsius.
I was looking for a quality winter jacket. This one exceed my expectations. It keeps me warm and just enjoy the day while on the snow. Must have for winter activity. Im happy with my purchase.

I normally wear a size Med but needed a larger size here since they are European sizes.
Thank you for your review, Deb.
Yes European sizes fit smaller than our North American sizes.
We are happy to hear that you found the right size for you!

Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyethylene Terephtalate ; Main lining: 100.0% Polyethylene Terephtalate ; Padding: 50.0% Grey duck feather, 50.0% Grey duck down ; Membrane/coating: 100.0% Polyurethane
What type of padding is used to provide warmth?
Recognized for their high thermal insulation, the down and feathers also provide an excellent weight/warmth/compression ratio. However, the warmth comes from the combination of the weight of the down/feathers and the fill power of the jacket. Indeed, together, they provide you with warmth and insulate you from the cold. (Padding 50% down and 50% feathers in the body, 100 g/m² recycled fill at the bottom of jacket and arms, 60 g/m² at the collar).
What other components keep you warm, in addition to the filling?
In addition to its filling, your jacket's waterproof zippers, snow skirt, collar, and adjustable hood and cuffs offer better protection against the cold for a warmer feeling.
What is a membrane and what's it for?
The membrane is a very fine component applied to the inner surface of the outer jacket fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away the perspiration produced by the body. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry.
How is the waterproof rating of the jacket measured?
The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height in mm of a water column that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. A component with a waterproof rating of 8000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 8000 mm column of water.
Which parts of the jacket protect me from bad weather?
The 500 jacket has been developed with a sophisticated component and assembly that prevent water from entering and reduce wind chill to help you cope with the weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To validate its waterproof rating, this jacket was tested under a special shower that replicates the conditions skiers have to face. We validated the waterproofing of this product in the field in various weather conditions for several days.
What is the water-repellent feature of my jacket for?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This jacket features water-repellent components that extend its weather resistance. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
How to restore the water-repellent feature of your jacket?
Bear in mind that the water-repellent feature can be reactivated. To do this, you can use a waterproof spray (sold in our stores): spray the product evenly over the entire garment and allow to dry for 10 to 12 hours.
What is a ”breathable” jacket?
This garment wicks away the water vapor produced by your body when exercising. To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its total evaporative resistance RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 500 jacket has an RET of 11. However, it is the technical solutions (zippers, vents, mesh) that Wedze uses that limit the condensation inside the garment and maximize breathability.
What is the fit of the 500 jacket?
Slim fit. The sides of the jacket hang down straight and remain parallel without conforming to the shape of your bust. The interior volume means this jacket can be worn in combination with a 1st and 2nd technical layer.
Product testing
All Wedze products are created, designed, and developed in the Mont Blanc Valley. They are then tested under the same conditions as you would experience in real-life use (snow, cold, powder snow, etc.) The design teams make sure that the program for which the product is designed and developed, corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.
Storage instructions
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the waterproofing of the fabric. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
