Questions & Answers

Look for product information, frequently asked questions, opinions...

Does it arrive built and ready to use or flat and needing expert assembly?

The bike arrives 95% assembeled so depending on your mechanical ability the assebly is minimal. Front wheel install, seat post inserted and pedals installed. You will likely need to inflate tires as they not shipped fully inflated.

Are the disk breaks hydraulic?

No these are full cable disc brakes, but work very well.

Online is showing as $100 shipping for California but when checking-out shipping has changed to $200 shipping to California. Is there a way to ship via ground? or to ship to a shop that carries Decathlon?

Appologies it should only be $100..., it seems the issue was flagged and repaired on 11/30..not sure when you attmepted the purchase but it should be good now. If for some reason it is not. Complete the transaction and provide customer service the the order number - they will credit you back the $100.

Good bike

I do not regret my purchase but after 1 month of use I am having steering problems, it is impossible to find space in the workshop to have it repaired. I think I will do it myself I have noticed that the tires are deflating when the bike is exposed to the sun. Otherwise I don't regret my purchase.

Good city bike

I recently bought this bike for the city, I'm happy with it, light and responsive with a lot of equipment. Excellent value. I recommend for trips for city dwellers.

Exactly what I was looking for

The bike works very well, it is light but durable, easy to adjust, perfect for everyday city riding. A big advantage is the lighting set, but the saddle could be more comfortable to be able to ride longer distances (needs to be replaced).

Perfect overall

perfect overall, the bike works very well, maybe the handlebars are a little low for tall people, however, it's the desired position of the bike I presume In itself, sporty position on the bike for sure

bike more than adequate

I have been using this bike for almost 2 years and regularly transport my 6 year old son. I previously had a similar bike from a competing brand which ultimately wasn't any better. The pluses: - solid and rigid mudguards although they don't look like much - the clever lighting with good autonomy - the wheels with real bearings and particularly solid (my daughter and I weigh 110 kg) The minuses: - the pedal board scam: after a few days the plastic tray protector bursts. we have to put back the same crap or change the entire crankset... I think that the design office has not improved the thing at a lower cost - the brakes: you can have powerful braking with a correct adjustment of the fixed plate of each of the calipers. But we have to repeat the operation every week. Personally I threw in the towel and bought cheap hydraulic brakes. Once the problems with the brakes and pedals have been resolved (with a little cleverness you can find these parts at a good price) you will have an excellent bike.

Good for Velotaf

Traveling 16 km/day with this bike, I am very satisfied with this purchase for daily travel. The journey starts with 20 minutes of TER, I appreciate the lightness 🤗

Incredibly fast

Quality of workmanship, appearance and speed! The bike travels amazingly at 40 km/h without any effort, the gears work perfectly, the brakes are adequate, the only drawback is the saddle (which needs to be replaced immediately) is so hard that if the Spartans had it, they would have beaten all the Persians at Thermopylae with it.

Great bike, chain often comes off

great bike, but the adjustments are sometimes not quite right and I therefore had to take it to the bicycle repair shop quite quickly. The brake wires had also come loose, causing it to no longer brake properly. The chain also comes off every now and then. Other than that the bike rides great.

Cool bike

The bike was delivered today. Very well packaged - no damage. Assembly was quite easy. For the money you get a nice bike that you can get around quickly. It's great to ride. I think the lighting is very good. And you can easily charge the lights. Braking performance could be better - but that's normal for mechanical disc brakes. I can only recommend the bike... 👍👍👍👍

Very good fast bike in town

Taffy bike for 20 years for 16km daily in town, previously on a very old riverside 320. Radical change in efficiency, I went from the 20km/h range to 30km/h, for the same effort. Does the job very well for its price, and I was able to mount my old luggage rack. The position is sportier, but for a journey of less than 10 km, at over 40 years old, I don't feel any discomfort. Try it in store to see for yourself. The pros: speed, liveliness, lightness, just the right level of complexity for my needs. The mechanical disc brakes are not impressive but are enough to lock the wheels if necessary, progressive braking without danger, including in the rain. The lighting is great, the mudguards do the job. The minuses: the tires, I expected the worst, honestly it even passes in the rain if I'm careful, but for my needs it's absolutely necessary to have puncture-proof tires. Already one puncture in 1 month where I didn't drive much. A small problem on the speeds, the 8 jerks when I restart at low speed, long wait to have it adjusted in the workshop, without result. I drive in 7 and switch to 8 only on the smoothest parts, that gets around the problem. The left rear attachment of the mudguard: I messed up a screw while mounting it and the next one cannot be screwed in all the way. I met another recent owner with the same problem in the same place, either we have the same clumsiness or a manufacturing problem.

speed 900

I am very satisfied, very good bike

Overall good.

Overall good but insufficient lighting and transmission which frankly lacks precision.

The bike is simply great. For under 500 euros, it is well equipped and makes a solid impression. Delivery went smoothly. Not a bike for running but pleasant for touring. Happy Easter.

Very useful for city trips

Excellent value for money, this bike is perfect for quick trips around town. Easy to maintain, it proves reliable over the long term (change of pads after 1 year, no punctures, etc.) Be careful though: the tires are thin. Vigilance is required near tram rails or when it is raining/snowing.

3 years of love

I don't know why all comments before March 2024 were deleted on this bike, so let me reaffirm my love for it. I must have done around 12,000 km with it, more or less long outings and a lot of cycling, and it's really the most balanced bike that I know from Decathlon even today. Super light, price below the mental bar of 500 euros, it tracks, it lacks a little low speed, but I still don't regret my purchase. Still my daily today and for the (at least) next 2 years.
