Excellent shoes, with great grip. Ideal for me as an umpire.
Great to see this Simon! As a fellow umpire it's really nice to see these are doing the job! I hope you are looking forward to the new season and able to get out on the pitch over the summer!

Excellent grip for playing hockey. I bought these when starting out as they seemed a good deal at under £30. They work well. I expect to get a lot of wear from them. I might go for the more expensive decathlon pair next time.
It's great to read you have enjoyed using these and we are sure they will serve you well! Don't forget if you do have any problems you have a two year guarantee to back you up.

Great fit just the job on the hockey field

I was lucky enough to try a pair out from a friend to test these. I’m a beginner and just getting into it so the prospect of paying £45 to £80 for a basic pair of shoes was crazy! These seem to do the same job for a fraction of the price. Very happy!

Wish you a happy new year.

The good: Fits and supports my wide feet very well; good grip on mud, grass and turf; decent protection on the sides and back. Not so good: Toe protection could be better; Am out of action after taking a medium power shot on my toe which the shoe should have taken care of IMO.
Hello Prashanth,
Thank you very much for your elaborate feedback & ratings. We are glad that you recommend this product.
This shoe is meant for the beginners & intermediate players. In this segment the power is low & the speed of the ball is not very high. We advice to use this shoe at the beginner & intermediate level players.
We work to bring continues improvement in our products & your feedback is highly solicited.
Best regards,
Jaspreet

We are glad to receive your feedback & thank you for the ratings.
On the colors - we have noted your point & will pass this to our product engineer.
You have concern on the weight, please inform how you feel when you run with this shoe on the turf or on the mud ground.
We are using the components to make the shoe lighter but sturdier.

Choosing the right size and model
Like with any sports shoes, your hockey shoes need to fit your feet properly. First, make sure there are no pressure points. Next, ensure your foot does not slip around inside the shoe. This is especially important when playing on artificial turf. Certain models are specially designed for women's feet.
Choosing the right size and model (cont.)
How to know if your shoes fit properly Plant your foot firmly on the ground. While exerting pressure down on your foot, try to move your foot in all directions in the shoe.
Did you know?
Field hockey shoes are designed with 2 specific features: reinforcements, especially at the front of the foot, to protect your feet from impacts from the ball, and a sole suited to field hockey playing surfaces - generally sandy or wet artificial turf - for traction.
Safety tips
Hockey should be fun. Play safely. Always wear your mouthguard, shin guards and a glove. Use hockey shoes with protective reinforcement and soles designed for your playing surface during matches and training.
Design

Shoe construction
Field hockey shoes have different sections. Each has a specific purpose. The outsole (in contact with the ground) is generally made of rubber and has spikes. It is hard and provides traction to prevent slipping. The midsole (just above the outsole) is generally made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA).
Shoe construction (cont. 1)
This material provides cushioning at the heel. It may also come up on the instep to improve stability as well as form a toe cap for protection against impacts with the ball. The sock liner is in direct contact with the foot. It is generally made of foam or EVA. Its main purpose is comfort.
Shoe construction (cont. 2)
The upper is the part of your shoe that is not part of the sole assembly. It features several sections. The front section is usually made of PU and mesh fabric. On the inner and outer sides, called the quarter panel, you will often find PU reinforcements. These are frequently design-oriented inserts (brand name or specific design). A stiffener is inserted at the back of the shoe.
Product testing
Our shoes are tested in the lab and in the field by our panel of testers under real playing conditions.
Storage instructions
Brush off dirt and rinse your shoes. Allow to air-dry. Never leave your shoes in your sports bag. Keep them in a dry place.
