Got through the season with all fingers intact. I would definitely buy Kipsta brand again. Had never heard of it when I bought as suspiciously cheap but gamble paid off!
Not used it yet but feels secure and good protection , my daughter will use next match and hopefullly will be just the job!

J'utilise ce gant au camogie et je trouve qu'il protège bien la main et les phalanges inférieures des coups de stick maladroits. J'attends avec impatience la version main droite. Dans les mouvements de stick, le port du gant est un peu désagréable car les extrémités de la bande velcro griffent le poignet de la 2ème main. Serait-il possible d'arrondir les angles, adoucir les matériaux ou réfléchir à un autre ajustement pour éviter ceci svp? merci, Cécile
Seulement main gauche en Vente mais pas pour la droite. Pourquoi ?!?!?????
Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de commenter notre produit. Nous développons pour l'instant uniquement des gants pour la main gauche qui correspond à l'usage majoritaire. Néanmoins, un gant pour la main droite est également en cours de développement afin de satisfaire tous les hockeyeurs.
Pour la saison salle, nous proposerons bien des gants pour les 2 mains.

Safety tips
Hockey should be fun. Play safely. Always wear your mouthguard, shin guards and a glove. Use hockey shoes with protective reinforcement and soles designed for your playing surface during matches and training.
Protecting your hand
A hockey glove is a piece of personal protection equipment. It should meet current regulations, including the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425. Wear a field hockey glove to protect your hand from impacts from the ball or sticks. A field hockey glove has a molded plastic plate on the back of the hand as well as over 1 or 2 fingers, and is generally lined with foam to absorb impacts.
Protecting your hand (cont.)
The protection over the thumb may only be in foam. Ideally, the open palm lets you get a better feel on the grip while the inner fingers are usually covered with a tacky fabric. Replace your glove according to the manufacturer's indications or as soon as it begins to show signs of wear.Refer to the product user guide in case of questions.
Design
Molded polyethylene plates cover the back of the hand and first phalanges, lined with supple 2 mm foam. The foam also covers the base of the thumb and the space between the plates. Complies with the EU regulation 2016/425 on Personal Protection Equipment and the new French standard XP S72-427. Wide opening on the palm for better grip. Elasticated rip-tab strap to adjust the fit.

This glove was designed by our product development team comprised of field hockey players who are passionate about their sport (product managers, designers, engineers, garment designers, and prototype and lab technicians) as well as Decathlon protection process specialists and our technical partner Jill Boon (a player for the Belgian Red Panthers).
