Go with size up seems to be the cheaper this same brand gets the smaller the suits get (especially the waist and trousers) and the top fits great always the bottoms

Brought this Gi for my son to replace an old Gi from Blitz. First time he wore it he loved it. Then I washed it and it shrunk by a few inches. It now looks like it would fit a young child. Not very happy to be in a position to have to buy another Gi after only wearing this one once. Be careful buying this Gi. Either buy a different one or buy a size up!
The sizing of the Gi is very small. I've always worn a size 170, in both Gi's and Doboks. This Gi fit just, until its first wash. Washed at 30 and it has shrunk more than any other Gi I've ever owned. The arms resemble a tshirt more than a cuff sleeve. I would advise buying a size larger than you think.
Good quality gi. Lovely comfortable breathable cotton, my daughter is very happy.

The gi is pure cotton so it will shrink, that is normal. After shrinking, it is too small I am 177cm. The size 180 jacket is too short.

Alternatively, you might want to consider the 100 Adult Karate Uniform. It is made out of a different composition (65% polyester, 35% cotton) however, it is not WKF Approved. We will definitely improve on the size grid to provide better options for our users.

Alles spitze
Der Anzug ist stabil und tut das was er kann. Leider geht der Anzug trotz 30° Wäsche sehr schnell ein. Bereits nach dem 5. Waschen merkt man das deutlich. Im Großen und Ganzen für diesen Preis aber kein schlechter Anzug.

The design of the 500 judo uniform
Whatever your style, we have an attractive, technical and well-suited gi:- The cut of the bottoms is designed for use with foot and shin guards- The jacket is nipped-in at the hips for an elegant look - The looseness of the jacket across the chest allows you to execute all your arm-based techniques without restriction- The slits on the sides of the jacket provide greater freedom of movement for all your leg movements, even in low positions.
Our design team talks about our new range of uniforms:
”We had quite a bit to rethink - we started from scratch. The priorities were reworking the fabrics and cut to create uniforms that were attractive but that still looked like karate uniforms. Most of all, we wanted to give karatekas what they needed.” This was followed by dozens of prototypes and tests with around twenty karateka until we had a suitable, balanced gi that met the requirements of the international federation.
