Cant Be Considered As A Winter Gloves

Not provinding warmth but its a stylish and fit gloves

Hello Venki

Thank you for taking out time to give your valuable review. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product. Trekking gloves are made keeping in mind the several things a trekker might need while trekking and warmth is one of the things, While trekking we need to keep the functioning of hands proper for holding a pole etc and hence we loose the scope to make bulky gloves which can only focus on warmth. Hence Trekking gloves are windproof, water-repellent ,warm and doesn't loose the functioning of a hand.

For more warmth than this product. I suggest you choose our Trek 900 gloves : https://www.decathlon.in/p/8493814/gloves/adult-mountain-trekking-windproof-gloves-trek-900-grey

Excellent gloves

Though these are winter gloves, I have been using this for heavy duty weight lifting and weights at the gym. The tips which are conductive for mobile phones wore out though. But Highly commend the quality

Ideal For Working / Driving

The product is ideal for non sub-zero temperatures. Gives warmth while you retain functionality of your hands completely. Combine the gloves with silk inner gloves, they are effective for hands functionality in even lower temperatures. Amazing product.

How to protect your hands from the cold in the best way possible?

In the same way you wear several layers of clothing when backpacking, you can wear liner gloves under your gloves, that will act as a thermal base layer. This multi-layer system lets several layers of air to form around your hands, efficiently insulating them from the cold! Remember to wear large enough gloves to prevent your fingers from being constricted. Compression reduces blood circulation in the fingers.

Suitable clothing

When active, the body creates heat, which is maintained via the garment's thermal insulation. If your clothing is unsuitable, the body will get colder and blood flow to the hands will drop in order to retain heat in the central core. Gloves and clothing must be adapted to keep hands at a comfortable temperature.

How is usage temperature measured?

All our gloves are laboratory-tested using a thermal hand to determine their warmth level. The minimum temperatures for use (recommended and limit) are the result of a study carried out with a test panel of 23 walkers exposed to temperatures ranging from 41°F to -4°F and 6 mph winds. These temperatures are only valid in walking conditions. The Trek 500 gloves are given a warmth rating of 1 out of 5.

Glove dexterity

The dexterity of a glove is its ability to handle objects. Our Trek 500 gloves have been scored in a laboratory. The closer the glove's dexterity is to 5, the more the glove can handle objects in the same way as the bare hand. For example, we have tested the ability to put on and open a jacket, to handle objects in bivouac, to eat and drink wearing the Trek 500 gloves. The Trek 500 gloves are given a warmth rating of 4 out of 5.

Easy to put on

Pull the wrist strap with the opposite hand to put them on quickly and efficiently.

Got your liner gloves caught in the rain?

If this happens, then dry them in a dry place, but avoid placing them on a heat source. This could damage the fiber and they could lose their shape!
