Product Customer Reviews

Only real complaint is a bit of roughness on the inseams at the base of the fingers. These are excellent for use standalone for relatively mild weather conditions where you are simply out and about or running and serve as an excellent base layer paired with an overglove or mitten for more extreme weather.
They are cheap, they are wool and they are a decent glove liner. I got these to wear under some waterproof gloves to help if my hands got clammy. I also wanted the tech touch for when I took my older, but warmer gloves off to use my phone. The only problem I really had was that the index finger touch tech piece kept twisting around and I had to realign it constantly. I think they is an issue with the stitching or design... It’s pretty annoying. The price is great, but I think I’ll try something else in the future.
Works really well. Needed a glove liner to breath new life into my MEC vortex gloves these worked really well. Great price for Marino Wool. Light thin warm and wicking

A nice addition to keeping my hands warm within my big old fur mitts
Hi Tim,
We are happy to hear this product was a good fit for you! Looking forward to seeing you back in store again!

Most people would probably really love these. They are a bit big on my hands - so they seem like they fit, but shift and bunch in ways that bother me. And it turns out I really Really REALLY hate the seems on the side of the fingers. Otherwise they would be great for going from the car to the house, walking, or layering under gloves for real outdoor weather. I will give them to by fiancee since they fit his hands better and he isn't annoyed by the seems
Perfect light gloves for spring / fall or for winter running. Merino is good quality and well priced compared to most merino brands.
Hi Katrina,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your product experience, very few people have knowledge about merino wool & I also personally feel it's the best :)
We would really appreciate it if you could also drop us a google review, it will help others find out about our store easily: https://g.page/r/CfN9rpYl0dwfEAg/review

Great gloves they do help to keep the cold out when worn under winter gloves Fast delivery too
Adds a reasonable amount of warmth as a cycling liner glove but both gloves literally falling apart at the seams after a few months use.
These under-gloves make any gloves warmer. I wear them under cycling and skiing gloves on the coldest days and they work really well. Also very dexterous so still keep your hands warm when your outer gloves are removed - great for phone use or doing something fiddly. Not really designed as an outer glove so would wear out quickly if worn on their own.
Good product for price
I really wanted to love these gloves. The wool is warm when used in combination with thicker over gloves and the index and thumb are great to use with a touchscreen; however, after using for two days a small hole appeared at the end of the index finger (my nails are clipped short), which has since grown so that the end of the finger is no longer contained. Really disappointed in the durability. I think the fabric composition (wool content) needs to be refined for durability, perhaps also adding reinforcement at the fingertips.
The sizing is great, and they fit perfectly. I am using them everyday at the moment, not just when camping. They fit well under my sealskins. The touchscreen bits do work, but not always, and it's generally quicker to just take them off. They're not all that soft, but when used in combo with outer gloves, they definitely add the extra warmth. Wouldn't be without them now, and they're only £10!
Purchased these to provide extra warmth on really cold cycling commutes as I suffer with Reynauds/circulation issues in my fingers. These really help when worn beneath my thick cold weather cycling gloves.
Good looking, comfortable and a great price
Thankyou to the store cycle department staffer who reccommended these gloves, they are brilliant

A suitable outfit
When physically active, the body produces heat. This is preserved via the thermal insulation of the outfit. If your clothing is unsuitable, the body will get colder and blood flow to the hands will drop in order to retain heat in the central core. Gloves and clothing must be suitable to keep hands at a comfortable temperature. If you're unsure about the size, it's always better to opt for a pair of hiking gloves that are slightly too big than too small.
Warmth
This liner glove, worn under a hiking glove, provides you with an additional 5°F of warmth. This corresponds to the ambient temperature at which 100% of testers felt comfortable. For better protection, we recommend that you wear gloves over the liner glove.
How is the temperature rating measured?
All our gloves are laboratory-tested using a thermal hand to determine their level of insulation and minimum temperature rating. The temperature ratings (normal and limit) come from a study carried out with a test panel of 23 walkers exposed to temperatures ranging from 41°F to -4°F and 6 mph winds. These temperatures are only valid when walking.
Dexterity of gloves
The dexterity of a glove is its ability to manipulate objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The closer the dexterity rating of the glove is to 5, the more you can handle things with the gloves as if they were off. In particular, we tested how easy it is to get a jacket on and open it.
Origin of the wool
We only use wool from Merino sheep bred on farms in South Africa that do not practice mulesing. We decided to build a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to guarantee respect for animal welfare and the environment. We have full traceability, which allows us to guarantee the origin of the wool. More information: https://www.forclaz.fr/merinos-2019-bp_4128
Odor control
Wool from Merino sheep naturally controls the spread of bacteria that cause bad smells. It can therefore be worn several days in a row, which means you can take less clothes when backpacking!
How to wash your merino wool liner gloves
We recommend that you machine wash your merino wool liner gloves at 86°F on a normal cycle, preferably with liquid detergent. Dry flat. NEVER tumble dry. For more information: https://www.forclaz.fr/conseils/comment-laver-mon-tee-shirt-de-trek-en-laine-merinos-tp_1550
Has the rain got inside your liner gloves?
Has the rain got inside your liner gloves? dry them in a dry place but avoid placing them on a heat source. This could damage the fiber and they could lose their shape!
Warning!
These gloves do not protect against the spread of viruses or microbes.
