Hi guys just would like to warn everyone to be very careful when using the “Removable carry strap for easy transport” specially where are a lot of people around. First time the metal clip broke and today the front wheel came off so the scooter fell off my shoulder.

Town XL 7 adult scooter is excellent Compared to other online stores this product is Cheaper in declathon stores only
The scooter is very loose where the handlebars click into place. Extremely wobbly and vibrated a lot whilst scooting. Also, I fitted the kickstand and the sharp edge of it cut deep into my ankle whilst scooting
I bought this scooter last week for commuting to work (around 2 miles of fairly flat road), and so far I love it! It seems to be well-designed, sturdy, and practical. Scooting in general is great fun, and a MUCH better work-out than I remember from when I was a kid!! So far I've had to make daily use of the shower in the office after the commute (although I'm hoping that won't be necessary once the weather is a bit cooler and I get a bit fitter)! Re the scooter itself, before buying it, I read loads of reviews. Many people have noted that it's very easy to fold down and back up again 'once you have the knack'. For me, that knack involves pushing the the handlebars in the opposite direction from where you want them to fold. In other words, when trying to fold it down, give a little jiggle forwards (ie away from the foot plate), and when trying to open it out, a gentle squeeze towards the footplate should do it. Some people have also said that on wet pavements it's lethal with no grip whatsoever, and that the brakes don't work. Yesterday was damp and the ground was wet (although it wasn't actually raining when I went out), and I was a bit nervous to go out. But I did, and I was glad I did. Yes, you do have to bear in mind that the slick wheels have less grip than in the dry, so reduce weaving around too much, and be very careful on corners. How bad this is seems to depend on the road surface - it seems worse on smooth areas like paving slabs than on old tarmac (I guess the bumps on old tarmac give their own grip). But with a bit more care than usual, which feels like common sense to me, it's absolutely fine. And yes, the brakes are less efficient in the wet, but again this feels like common sense to me - water on the wheels can only have one effect. But they do still work. Again, as long as you're aware of this, and take it into account as you scoot, it's fine. Overall, I love this! I'm already fitter than I was. Scooting to work is quicker and much better exercise than walking, cheaper than the bus, and much less hassle than riding a bike (no need to find somewhere to lock it etc). And if the weather in the evening is too awful to go home on the scooter, I can just fold it up and take it on the bus!
Without a doubt scooting to work is the way forward. It really does save me a lot of time. However, I am not quite sure whether it is just my scooter but it squeaks terribly. It actually drives me mad that I paid 90 quid for something that makes such a noise. I do not mind the rattle because i was expecting that but the squeak was certainly not expected. The scooter felt great when i tried it in the shop where the ground was even. If i had the chance to test it in a real life settting before i bought it i would probably think twice about buying this particular model.
I was sceptical at first when my kids wanted to buy me a scooter for Father’s Day. Having spent a few hours in the park all I can say is WOW! Should’ve got one years ago, and not only for fun but use it now to pop to the shops for a few bits and pieces- damn site cheeper than taking the car and great exercise.
I was advised in Decathlon the Oxelo Town 7XL would be perfect for everyday commute to drop my daughter to school with the add on child step. This scooter has 0% break when the road is slightly wet or even damp so me & my child have had so many skids and near accidents when trying to use this for commute I've had to stop taking her as its too dangerous. London is a rainy city so it is not safe to use half the time. Also when buying I asked how long it should last and was told as long as I change the tires every 6/12 months (depending on use) then it should last me many years. After 6 months the wheels are fine from use but the breaks are not working properly & I was told I have to buy a part and pay to have it fixed & the scooter makes a rattling noise & I was told I need to buy another part to have it repaired and its just from standard use. Manager didn't help and staff not very helpful. Just trying to make more money and said obviously breaks don't work at all when the floors wet. Would not recommend this scooter to use if you intend to use it in a rainy city, or if you need it for more than 5/6 months. Has a mudguard for rain but not safe to use in rain.
Basically good items for us. However if it is possible to reduce the weights, it’s would be better.

You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering. Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: spend time learning the basics so that you can control your speed and brake in emergency situations in all weather conditions (particularly on wet terrain).
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm high bounce PU rubber wheels. This makes it ideal for any journey. A large wheel makes it easier to build up speed with minimum effort. The ABEC 5 bearings are very high quality to limit the amount you have to push yourself along, as well as limiting fatigue.
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.
To meet your needs and provide maximum user comfort, the Town 7 XL is equipped with 2 suspension systems: 1 at the front and 1 at the rear. These suspension systems greatly reduce the discomfort caused by uneven roads or pavements.
The Town 7 XL scooter from Oxelo has a brake on the handlebar and a second brake on the back wheel. This second brake comes in the form of a long mudguard that covers much of the wheel.
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary.
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local Decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
All of our scooters have been lab-tested. These tests validate their compliance with the European standards for scooters, as well as their resistance to wear. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
This scooter is in compliance with the European Standard for sport scooters EN14619.
Store in a dry place out of the sun.
Check the condition of your scooter before and after each use, and make sure there is no abnormal play, cracks, or sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. It is possible to repair and prolong the lifespan of your scooter with parts that can be ordered through the Workshop at your Decathlon store.
