Visor helmets are very comfortable and practical to use. However, we recommend them for people who ski at moderate speeds. This is because they are less windproof than ski goggles, which fit snugly over the nose and face. If you ski very fast, air may enter, which can be unpleasant.

The tightening wheel plays a key role in ensuring that your helmet does not come off. This system enables easy and precise adjustment at any time using an easily accessible adjustment wheel that you can even use with skiing gloves. It is comfortable in use and very safe. Turn the adjustment wheel clockwise to tighten and anti-clockwise to loosen.

This type of structure incorporates an outer shell, made of ABS, injection molded to withstand powerful impacts. It combines durability with a significant capacity to withstand bumps and blows. The internal EPOS liner absorbs shocks in the event of a collision. We recommend changing your ski helmet at least every 5 years if it hasn't suffered a significant shock in the meantime.

Standard EN 1077 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resistance to penetration. There are 2 classes: - Class A: protects the top and back of the head as well as the ears and the side of the head. - Class B: Protects the top and back of the head, but does not cover the ears.

* Measure your head circumference in centimeters (around the middle of the forehead and just above the ears). * Then choose the size that covers this measurement. Example: if the circumference of your head is 22", try a 21.7" - 23.2" size helmet.

Take plenty of time to try it on properly. You should not feel any pressure points or discomfort. If you do, try another model.

A ski helmet must be properly adjusted and fitted during use: * The correct size must be chosen. * The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening wheel. * The chinstrap must be properly adjusted. It's a bit like a car seat belt: if it's too loose it will not serve its purpose and you'll be less well protected.

Avoid wearing a thick hat under your helmet, it will move your helmet away from your head and you'll be less well protected. Choose a very thin liner hat or balaclava, which will not compromise your safety. A helmet has good insulating properties. There is often no point adding anything else. And do not fasten a camera to your helmet as it will affect your safety. The standard does not take into account elements that are added to the helmet.

Everyone should be able to enjoy skiing, including people who wear glasses. Wed'ze therefore offers a helmet with a visor, more practical than ski goggles over glasses (OTG)." Some styles of glasses are unsuitable on account of their size. We recommend visiting your local Decathlon store to try the helmet on with your glasses.

Some spare parts for the helmet H-RC 550 are available from the After Sales Service in our store workshop. Available: the original S2 visor and the screw kit to fit the visor (screws and spacers).

These are PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) helmets. It cannot be exchanged. A ski helmet complies with a standard. We cannot guarantee that the purchased helmet has not received a shock and therefore still complies with the standard.

Dry thoroughly before storing in its Wed'ze bag. Always carry your helmet in its bag to avoid scratching the lens.
