Product Customer Reviews

Very good racket (of equal or even better quality than some major brands) that I find well balanced. She just deserves to gain flexibility for more comfort and get closer to a phantom prince x which is for me the must.
Great racket. It pushes flat and does not lack spin. In my opinion perfect in touch shots.
A very good racket that has nothing to envy to the big brands. Very precise, on the other hand you have to get into it because it lacks power in 18x20... I had tried the 16x19 which is much more accessible and more powerful but was out of stock at the time of purchase.
Great
This is an amazing racket for good players who are looking for good control and good handling. You have to produce your own power, but if you're capable, it can hit a good punch. In my opinion the TR 960 Control Tour 18x20 can compete with any "control-racket" on the market (I tested a lot of them ;-)...). The only thing that's not top notch is the paint job. I have 3 rackets and each one has a different shade of silver/grey. But the QC regarding weight and balance is great !!!
very good rackets good control pleasantly surprised buy 3 I often practice the weight is exilent
Overall a great racket and i've had amazing customer service from the team. This stick is a mix between the Wilson Blade/ Ultra and Head Prestige and plays just like any of the top name brands. As a tournament player, this racket needs a little customizing to adjust the swing weight and balance, but once completed is 5 out of 5 starts. Only negative is that the recent manufacturing run of these had an uglier paint job, much more dark grey than the initial glittery/ sparkle that existed throughout the throat.
The truth is that the racket has pleasantly surprised me. Despite being a 300-gram racket, it is very manageable and at the same time you get great control of the trajectory of the ball
Incredible racket which is used by a professional player (Gael Montfils), a great deal for a low price.
I hadn't necessarily planned to change racquets but I tested the TR960 in 18x20 to discover the concept of control, I played with the TR 990 in 285 gr. The first 20 minutes, I felt like I was playing with a cutting board, I couldn't cross the net (Decathlon rope oriented on it). Then, during the first more intense exchanges, I really felt the pleasure of letting go of his shots and having the impression of precisely controlling the area. After testing different strings and tension. It's pure happiness, 22/20 control, you quickly find your adjustment to regain power. Very good playing comfort. I recommend without hesitation, but above all, try it for 1 full hour. I almost missed it because of the first few minutes.
I love this racquet! Control and flexibility are at the rendezvous
Having been an advisor at Decathlon, I was able to test this racket a few times. She quickly seduced me. Very good control, very good grip (size 2 neck), very good balance, pleasant to play... A simplistic look but which is very suitable. It does not demerit at all against the big brands and easily approaches a prestige in particular. Control and balance between spin and power, very suitable for a 3rd series player. Only weak point, the very fragile paint! From the first use, a wood and the friction of the ball chipped the paint... A bit of a shame but a detail faced with the effectiveness of the latter! I highly recommend !
Performance racquet for a competitive player. Powerful.
Yet a great defender of Decathlon products which have always convinced me, I admit to being disappointed by this racket. Stability: Although it is heavy and the balance is still quite high, I still find the stability on a comparable racquet to be average. The pro staff 97 ls that I took is a precision racquet just like the control tour, and offers me better stability. Maneuverability: 305 grams therefore unwieldy, logical. But still, on 300 gram racquets the feeling is less good with the control tour. Trajectory control: Precise, that's for sure. Not made for a lifter given the very tight string pattern, but for a powerful flat ball player, the precision is surgical! Look/Design: And there was a disappointment... Paint that peels very quickly, and the racket gets damaged very quickly. On the level of comparable expert snowshoes, the control tour does not make you fantasize! When I see the pro staff, the pure aero or the pure drive, I tell myself that it's such a shame not to charge even 20 euros more to have a racket that sends style! Although aesthetics is not everything, it still plays in the minds of many players who psychologically will be better if they have a racket that they like technically but also aesthetically;)
Very good control with this racquet which is easy to handle, it requires a placement effort to center well with its 630 headsize but offers excellent ball feel. Unbeatable value for money for a racquet of this type.

Composition
Racket frame: 55.0% Carbon Fiber, 45.0% Epoxy Resin ; Racket handle: 70.0% Steel, 30.0% Polyurethane ; Grip: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Bumper grommet: 100.0% Polyamide ; Racket string: 100.0% Polyester ; Racket end cap: 100.0% Polyamide
Weight (unstrung racket)
305 gWeight: Measured in grams. Just like balance point and length, the weight impacts a racket's swingweight and therefore its manoeuvrability, stability and ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The heavier the racket, the more power you'll get, but the harder it will be to handle. The lighter the racket, the easier it will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power.
Balance (unstrung racket)
31.5 cm Balance: This is the racket balance point, measured in centimetres from the bottom of the shaft. The higher the number (head heavy), the more powerful and stable upon impact the racket will be. However, it will also be harder to manoeuvre. The smaller the number (grip biased or handle heavy), the easier the racket will be to handle but you'll have less power and stability.
Head size
630 cm²Head size: This is the surface area of the racket head size measured in squared centimetres. It has an impact on the racket's forgiveness and power. The larger the head size, the more powerful and forgiving it is, but the downside is less control. The smaller the head size, the more control you'll get, but you'll have to sacrifice power and forgiveness.
Ra
65 RaRa: This refers to the racket's stiffness, i.e. how much it bends under the impact of the ball. The stiffer the racket (the higher the Ra), the less it bends. The energy lost on impact is minimised and returned to the ball via the strings. Generally, a stiffer racket offers greater power.
Swingweight (unstrung racket)
SW = 285Swingweight: This indicates how easy a racket is to handle and its ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The higher the swingweight, the more powerful the racket, but also the harder it will be to handle. Conversely, the lower the swingweight, the easier the racket will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power. The swingweight is derived from a combination of the racket weight, balance and length.
Stringing:
18 x 20String pattern: This is the number of mains (vertical strings) x the number of crosses (horizontal strings). The more strings the pattern has, the more ”closed” it is; the fewer it has, the more ”open” it is. A more closed string pattern offers a greater feeling of control, but less power and spin. A more open string pattern provides more power and spin, but less control.
Length
68.5 cmLength: This is the length of the racket from the bottom of the grip to the top of the head. It is measured in centimetres. The longer the racket, the more power you'll get, but the flip side is that it will be harder to handle. The shorter the racket, the easier it will be to manoeuvre, but you'll have to give up power.
Profile
