Storm tested

Regardless of the fact that we are enthusiastic about the quick, uncomplicated assembly/dismantling method, the good ventilation and the good compatibility, this and another Quechua bus awning have proven themselves to be storm-proof in the last week. For a long time it withstood the wind (approx. 6-7 bft) through the air hoses, it blew over and had to be secured by letting out the air and securing the tarpaulin. After returning, we carried out an inventory and cleaning the day before yesterday and were pleased to find that there was no damage or major contamination, despite the rough treatment required to secure it from flying away. In this case too, the tent was very convincing. Very high quality

Modification

In the month of April 2023 I made a satisfactory reference to the product... Now, with a good storm of water and hail, I want to provide new data... The water accumulates on the roof and you have to keep pushing to evacuate it, If the wind blows very strongly, it sinks and that causes water to accumulate more easily. When large hail falls, some breaks have been made in the roof. Possible solutions: Put one more tensioner in the center, to prevent it from bending and therefore prevent water accumulation. And putting the roof canvas thicker, like the one on the lower side, would be enough.

Missing mosquito net

Great product BUT big black spot. We went to Bordeaux with a 3 month old baby, it was 40 degrees … and there we noticed a big negative point. There is a small mosquito net on the small entrance but why not one at the large entrance ??? We had to choose between being very very very hot by closing the large opening or being devoured by mosquitoes... despite everything very happy with this purchase but we had a mosquito net sewn on the front

Comfortable campsite

Super well thought out awning tent, beautiful finishes, very easy to use and pretty too, we are absolutely delighted with this product, thank you to the designers 👍🏼🙏🤗

Very disappointed !!

Product to avoid! Bought last year but only used this year on vacation, poor quality fabric, in just one use micro holes appeared on the upper part (roof), unexpected wear for only a week of use! Really very very very disappointed with the product… Moreover, the stability is very limited on windy days even if you have everything secured as it should….

Endurance test passed

The tent easily withstood a violent storm, including heavy rain.

Unsuitable in rain and thunderstorms

I bought the tent in a store 2 WEEKS ago and we went on vacation. We were happy for the first few days because it served its purpose as an additional tent when camping with the VW bus. It was easy to set up and was stable. However, when there was rain and a thunderstorm, the tent collapsed, even though we had tensioned it down and checked it beforehand. Because we had a camping drying rack in the tent and it collapsed and a water bag formed and when we pressed on the drying rack, the tent tarpaulin tore. The two poles are definitely not enough to keep the tent stable in wind and rain. For the remaining days we stretched a SUP paddle vertically in the middle so that the rain would run off. We are disappointed and regret the purchase because we need a tent especially for bad weather. We are experienced in setting up and untying tents and thought we would shorten the time needed to set up and take down tents with the inflatable tent. Unfortunately, it is not stable to provide reliable protection in the rain

Not waterproof

Used only one week. 2 nights with showers. Water passes through the roof. Forced to leave the tent in the middle of the night. I will return the product. Completely useless

Good value for money, overall grade 3

After 2 years of use, here is my experience report (used on a T4 Multivan 1994, side door) 1. Weather resistance: In the first year we had moderate to very heavy rain almost every evening during the 2 weeks of vacation. On some days it even rained. If you don't pull the poles out to "OK" and thereby put the maximum tension on the roof of the tent, the thing will collapse. Storm cords no longer help either. If you open it properly (up to the "OK" mark), then in moderately heavy rain no bag will form, everything will flow away. We agree: a pole in the middle of the roof and two additional cords in the middle of the side walls would solve the problem in the first place. There are also these red-brown ribbons that “pull up” the “connect gate” and the front gate. We would particularly like to see such a band on the right and left of the Connect gate. Because when it rains, the water hardly flows away here, but remains in a sack. This of course causes it to leak and if you then empty this bag, you will have many liters of water running down in one fell swoop. If things are going well (in the truest sense) then they are outside the tent. If things go badly, everything spills onto the tent floor. Light to moderate rain cannot harm the entire structure. It's cozy in there, you can watch the rain through the window and be happy. Really great! 2. Functionality: Really spacious, super versatile (back and side connectivity). We would have liked more fly screens, for example in front of the main gate. The transparent PVC window should be able to be opened to the side to be more "outside". All in all, we are very happy about the purchase, as the price-performance ratio is good. Compared to similar products from the competition (as of 3 years ago) this is really a great tent. 3. Assembly/dismantling Can be done within 10 minutes in a storm and insufficient ground anchoring, including putting out the table and stove, stuffing shoes and other things into the bus. Of course, the tent is not folded up nicely, but stuffed under the bus... we tried it out involuntarily
