Good fit and sturdy with reinforcement sections. Full length zips are very useful. These are definitely a winter product, they become a bit sweaty in warmer climates

The pants have been ok but I have ended up with a wet crotch on the few times I’ve worn them. Which is uncomfortable, cold and annoying. Priced as a premiumish product but have failed. Will be trying to swop them.

These trousers are extremely breathable and waterproof. They are very durable and easy to throw on over boots or crampons. The zips run freely and are not prone to seizing up and they are made from a robust material. Tested these out on a long climb in Scotland and while I haven't been in a torrential downpour, they have kept me dry and didn't tear when I was working my way across rocks and boulders. The sizing is exact and the fit is very good. These offer quite a big bang for not much buck. I would get these again.

I was needing a pair of over trousers as I had ripped my old pair with my crampons after a lead fall. My partner decided to take it upon herself to buy me some as a surprise. When I opened them they certainly looked the part! I had absolutely no idea about the brand or where they came from, but being an optimist I decided to try them out and I have to say I'm delighted! They are just as good as anything expensive and for a portion of the price. The only problem I had with them is that they didn't have the garage at the top of the zip to keep the rain out of the pockets, other than that they are excellent trousers and would happily recommend them to anyone wanting a solid pair of over trousers

Materiál vypadá na první pohled a omak docela odolně. Spoje a švy jsou podlepeny. Šití bohužel nebudí zrovna důvěru, uvidíme jak dlouho vydrží používání v horách. Zipy se zdají odolné. Bohužel obrovskou vadou je absence předních poutek pro provléknutí pásku. Při náročných opakovaných pohybech se zipy pomalu rozepínají, pásek s nekvalitními suchými zipy přední část nedrží dostatečně pevně. Prakticky nemožné odepnout větrání (shora přední část nedrží, zdola jedině bez návleků. Malé kapsy s nepřesvědčivou síťovinou. Kladem je příznivá cena, skvělá možnost nasazení/sundání bez nutnosti sundávat boty/lyže.

As I liked the style the pants were made, I got them a while ago. Unlike other Simmond products, of which I already have many, these are not designed poorly in the waist area. They do no hold firmly on the waist with the front part being too tight and rear part sliding off downwards. Either suspenors or making the fabric more elastic would certainly help improve otherwise very good mountaneering pants. I cannot wear them and wish to return it.

Top Hose, richtig wasserdicht

Der Zweiwege Reißverschluss scheint prima! Beim Tragen von Rucksäcken mit Hüftgurt drückt dieser aber den Schlitten des Reißverschlusses in die hüfte (unterm Klettverschluss). Geht so nicht, hier gehört kein großer Schlitten hin. Andere Hersteller lösen das besser aber zum dreifachen Preis. Weiterhin sollten Gürtelschlaufen angebracht werden,Gummizüge sind nett halten aber nicht soviel aus wie ein anständiger Gürtel.

Die Hose habe ich mir gekauft, um auf Hochtouren nicht nur gegen Regen und Schnee gewappnet zu sein, sondern auch um als weitere Schicht vor Kälte und Wind zu schützen. Das Material ist wesentlich robuster (dicker) als bei anderen Hardshellhosen und kann wohl dadurch auch mal einen nicht immer auszuschließenden Kontakt mit den Steigeisen oder auch Fels bzw. Eis wegstecken. Die Reisverschlüsse lassen sich gut öffnen und schließen; die Weitenregulierung mittels der Klett-Laschen an der Hüfte sind für mich ausreichend (die fehlenden Gürtelschlaufen sind daher für mich nicht relevant). Da die Hose mittels der seitlich an den Beinen angebrachten Reisverschlüsse komplett geöffnet werden kann, ist das Anziehen mit angelegten Steigeisen kein Problem! Durch das dickere Material "raschelt" die Hose ein bisschen beim Gehen, stört mich aber nicht. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Wenn die Hose noch zusätzlich eine Gürtelhaltung aufweisen würde, wäre es super. Vielleicht kann das bei zukünfitgen Modellen umgesetzt werden

Angeschafft wurde die Hose für Radfahrten (e-Bike) im Winter, und als Regenschutz bei Trekkingtouren. Letzteres wurde noch nicht ausprobiert, aber als Kälteschutz für das Radfahren mit normaler Trittfrequenz (bei mehr vermutlich ein Mehr an Feuchtigkeit) hat sie sich prima bewährt. Die Hose ist sehr gut durchdacht und verarbeitet, lässt sich supereinfach anziehen und trägt sich prima. Aufgrund des steifen Innenmaterials raschelt sie beim Tragen, was mich aber nicht stört. Was ich erst nach Erhalt erfuhr ist die Tatsache, dass auch der vordere Reißverschluss absolut wasserdicht ist. Prima. Gekauft habe ich die Größe L, selbst schlank und 184cm groß, Beinlänge normal. Beim Radfahren werden die Schuhe noch leicht überdeckt, also für mich ideal. Wer eher etwas längere Beine hat, müsste dann eine größere Hose wählen, was aber zu einem zu weiten Bund führen könnte.
