A racket with good balance

A balanced racket suitable for young tennis players, with good pushing ability. Excellent value for money.

Good product with a big but

I just received it, I played 20 minutes at low intensity, excellent sensations, comfortable, manageable and with good ball output. But I noticed that a couple of the eyelets are extremely deformed to the point that they look like they will break at any moment, they don't look good quality, too thin, and the big problem is that they don't sell replacement eyelets in the store. If it weren't for that detail, it would be a perfect racket, a shame. I hope they last, otherwise I will have to ask for an exchange or money back.

Excellent value

Initially doubtful about the idea of taking an Artengo racket (recommended by a seller), I was ultimately very pleasantly surprised by the grip and playing sensations offered by this racket.

Very nice

Nice proposal from Romain…

Great proposal from Romain d'Ecully who was able to understand my game and make me this great proposal! Thanks to him!

Everything I…

Everything I was looking for behind years of Wilson 102 ul. I find with the TR990 power 285 gr, a little more weight, therefore more stability, with a very pleasant, slightly felt touch on the ball.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Racket frame: 55.0% Carbon Fiber, 45.0% Epoxy Resin ; Racket handle: 60.0% Steel, 40.0% Polyethylene ; Bumper grommet: 100.0% Polyamide ; Grip: 100.0% Polyurethane ; Racket string: 100.0% Polyester ; Racket end cap: 100.0% Polyamide

Weight (unstrung racket)

285 gWeight: Measured in grams. Just like balance point and length, the weight impacts a racket's swingweight and therefore its manoeuvrability, stability and ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The heavier the racket, the more power you'll get, but the harder it will be to handle. The lighter the racket, the easier it will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power.

Balance (unstrung racket)

32.5 cm Balance: This is the racket balance point, measured in centimetres from the bottom of the shaft. The higher the number (head heavy), the more powerful and stable upon impact the racket will be. However, it will also be harder to manoeuvre. The smaller the number (grip biased or handle heavy), the easier the racket will be to handle but you'll have less power and stability.

Head size

645 cm²Head size: This is the surface area of the racket head size measured in squared centimetres. It has an impact on the racket's forgiveness and power. The larger the head size, the more powerful and forgiving it is, but the downside is less control. The smaller the head size, the more control you'll get, but you'll have to sacrifice power and forgiveness.

Ra

69 RaRa: This refers to the racket's stiffness, i.e. how much it bends under the impact of the ball. The stiffer the racket (the higher the Ra), the less it bends. The energy lost on impact is minimised and returned to the ball via the strings. Generally, a stiffer racket offers greater power.

Swingweight (unstrung racket)

SW = 265Swingweight: This indicates how easy a racket is to handle and its ability to transfer energy to the ball (power). The higher the swingweight, the more powerful the racket, but also the harder it will be to handle. Conversely, the lower the swingweight, the easier the racket will be to handle, but the trade-off is less power. The swingweight is derived from a combination of the racket weight, balance and length.

Stringing:

16 x 19String pattern: This is the number of mains (vertical strings) x the number of crosses (horizontal strings). The more strings the pattern has, the more ”closed” it is; the fewer it has, the more ”open” it is. A more closed string pattern offers a greater feeling of control, but less power and spin. A more open string pattern provides more power and spin, but less control.

Length

68.5 cmLength: This is the length of the racket from the bottom of the grip to the top of the head. It is measured in centimetres. The longer the racket, the more power you'll get, but the flip side is that it will be harder to handle. The shorter the racket, the easier it will be to manoeuvre, but you'll have to give up power.

Profile

Elliptical cross section 25mm/25mm/23mm

Mpo technology

Mass Polarization Optimization (MPO): mass is distributed inside the racket for an optimal balance between handling and stability on impact. This technology also reduces fabrication tolerance on the weight and balance by 40%. This helps create consistent rackets that meet final specs and usage conditions.

Product testing

Our rackets undergo testing in the lab and on the court. This racket was tested for several hundred hours by our engineers, technical partners, and certified club coaches. This racket was developed in partnership with Steve Darcis (ATP singles No.38 on 22/05/2017), Oliver Marach (ATP doubles No.2 on 28/05/2018), all Artengo technical partners and many other high-level players.
