You are learning to surf or surf only a few times a year, during a vacation or on a surf trip. You stay where you can still touch the bottom of the sea floor, in tiny waves or broken waves. You surf for the joy of being in the water and for the feeling you get from it. During your sessions, you often fall, but you fall in waves that are not very powerful. We have designed a wide range of swimwear for you to suit your occasional practice and your body shape.

Whether you be a surfer or enjoy bathing in the sea, you don’t want to lose your swimsuit! This is why we test all our swimsuits in the waves. Each model is designed for surfing and perfectly suits other water sports: stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kite surfing, bathing, etc.

Women who wear a size larger than a D-cup very often tend to look for supportive and underwired swimwear. Our teams worked for almost 2 years to create this Astrid balconette with fabric underwire. It also bears the name of our garment designer! It took more than 20 prototypes and trials on all types of body shapes to guarantee support and comfort. The straps and the band size are adjustable.

Many women want underwired swimwear for the support and shape they provide. However, underwires are rigid and often not very comfortable, particularly if you want to do water sports. They can interfere with the proper fit of the swimsuit in the waves, a promise of Olaian swimsuits. That's why we developed the Astrid swimsuit. Inch by inch, our teams created a fabric underwire that is ultra comfortable and perfectly supports the bust.

We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of female surfers with different body shapes who follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye, southwest France. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.

For 6 years, we have been working to show women's bodies with 1 goal: to make women feel beautiful in our swimwear. The chest is not crushed, the rear is not highlighted, and the cleavage is enhanced. Our mission is to ensure that every woman, whatever her body type or size, finds a swimsuit that suits her.

Based in Hendaye, in Southwest France, Olaian is Decathlon's new surfing and bodyboarding brand. In our offices at the water's edge, we can design a swimsuit and then on the same day test it directly in the sea to make sure it stays in place in the waves.

This product has been tested in use in Hendaye and has been subjected to numerous laboratory tests to guarantee the quality of use for which it was designed: tests on the fabric's stretch and stability, colorfastness when subject to friction, washing, sea water, chlorinated water, and exposure to light, and the product's overall performance after several washes.
