I used this probe on a recent Mountaineering course in the Cairngorm mountains. The probe was used to measure the depth of the snow when choosing locations to build snow caves. It was also used as a marker to assist with location of the snow cave by being left outside at night. Despite being buffeted by 70kmh winds, the probe retained its shape. A great piece of kit.

Esta bien relacion calidad precio. No hay mucha mas que anadir, es una sonda.
J'ai juste un peu cherché comment barrer la corde avant de trouver le noeud. Pour le poids et le prix ça convient très bien. J'en saurai plus après ma formation en avalanches.

Shoveling takes on average longer than finding the victim. So you must be efficient! Practice!
The probe
Allows you to locate a victim and gauge the depth of snow under which they are buried.
Avd
Avalanche Victim Detector: It allows you to locate a buried skier or hiker with an AVD in transmit mode.
Warning
Wear your AVD close to your body to avoid it falling off. Check it is operating correctly at each outing . Practice regularly. Know when to give up.
The pack
Mountains are magnificent terrains for adventure but you have to be extremely careful when exploring them: A safety pack to bring with you, which includes a AVD (Avalanche victim detector) plus probe plus shovel, but be aware that these three items alone don’t offer you complete security.
