This Trek 500 cookset is a great starter set for a backpacker. There is enough room in the pot to store the included bowl, a gas cannister, small stove, and the included spoon. The innovative handle secures the lid and all of the contents. The handle provides a very solid connection that allows the pot to be tipped, poured, or moved about on a stove without fear of spillage. The lid has vent/drain holes to pour off pasta water or anything else needing straining. The pot capacity is large enough that you can make your typical backpacking freeze dried meal. Overall, this makes for a great starter set for that beginning backpacker. And it's good enough to last for a long time to come.
Nice set for one person.
I have only used this to boil water for dehydrated food and tea, etc, but its wide base allows water to heat up quickly. The dish inside is a good size for food and its ridged outside keeps your hands from burning. The handle arrangement is very clever and easy to use, as is the lid through which you can strain water if cooking pasta or rice. Also big enough inside for a small gas canister, or you can keep your stove and lighter etc in it. And it all comes in a nice drawstring bag to keep it tidy.
What a bargain this little set is. Great cook pot which Ive used for water and food. Heats up really fast helped by the inclusion of the kid(which can be used to strain water too) and cleans easily too even when food caught in the bottom. Gas canister just about fits inside

Very good for fast cooking. Multi purpose pot can cook noodle and soup. Need only very little storage after folding pot handle. Further more bowl can keep inside pot. Nice cover and bowl colour. Hope to see more product from FORCLAZ. Hope to see more pot from FORCLAZ

Poměr cena výkon maximální spokojenost
Supr produkt za supr cenu, koupen kvůli menšímu průměru dna kvůli stabilitě na vařiči a jsem spokojený. Nejvíce využívám misku, která i s vařícím jídlem nepálí a dokupoval jsem další. K.
Naprostá spokojenost. Dovnitř se přesně vejde kartuše 230g ...miska se pak obrátí opačně a krásně to pasuje. Perfektní.

Habe das Geschirr jetzt mehrfach benutzt und es tut was es soll. Das einzige Problem ist, dass der Deckel beim Kochen schmilzt. Gebe deswegen nur 3 Sterne, denn um Energie und damit Brennstoff zu sparen sollte es möglich sein den Deckel beim Kochen auf dem Topf zu lassen, alles andere ist ineffizient und man hat auf lange Sicht nur mehr Kosten und Gewicht beim Brennstoff.
Die Größe ist gut, schlaue Verschluss/Griff Kombination, fairer Preis. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist der Kunststoff Deckel, der zwar gut durchdacht ist, sich allerdings am Rand auflöst, wenn man einen Windschutz verwendet. Die vom Kocher aufsteigende Hitze lässt den Rand des Deckels schmelzen.

How did we choose the metals for our cooksets?
We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-term durability. It does not oxidize and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal).
How did we choose the coatings for our cooksets?
For the TREK500 range, we have chosen not to use a non-stick coating in order to have a very simple product that is resistant to all conditions of use and washing. No need to wonder how to carry or wash it without damaging it!
How did we choose the plastics used in our cooksets?
Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 212°F), impacts and deformation.Be careful not to place the plastic parts in direct contact with a flame.
How best to use your cookset?
Our cooksets are compatible with all types of heat (wood, gas, induction, etc). The saucepan has a folding patented handle made up of 2 sections that locks the lid in place during transportation.The lid fits the saucepan, heats food more quickly and can be used as a colander.The structure of the bowl is designed to reduce heat conduction and take a gas cartridge (8.1 oz screw-on gas cartridge) for transportation.The cutlery can be folded up for easy storage.
How to store your cookset?
The items are stored inside the cookset. First the bowl then the cutlery. The lid is then placed and locked by the folding handle.The bowl and cutlery are also available for sale individually.
How to clean and look after your cookset?
Before using for the first time, rinse all the elements 3 times in fresh water.All the elements can be washed in a dishwasher and, when used outdoors, they can be washed with soapy water or with water and river sand!
What should you avoid doing with your cookset?
Never heat your saucepans empty, as this will deform and damage them.When using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts.Close your handle properly before using the cookset on the fire.In any case, prevent the flames from rising too high and reaching the lid, as it could melt.
