Light. Strong. Dark. Dry

I’ve been backpacking with this tent for over 6 months. It’s the best thing ever. Everybody in SWAGS runs out of there tent as soon as the first sunbeams arrive in the morning. Not me! My hangover and I stay nice and cool(ish) inside the tent up to 2 hours after the others are vaporised. After 6 months of daily take downs en rebuilds, during the Australian summer and winter the tent started to change colour. It aged the sticks turned grey en fabric wrinkled. It didn’t take long before his outer skin shred. Ducked tape saved me from the rain season, but the real hero is Decathlon they provided a new tent and without a doubt I asked for the same one! It’s my babe my precious just buy it. Breaking down after 6 months of camping means you will enjoy it for 24 weeks of camping. Equals 12 year of 2 week vacations! It can be the tent you give to your 12 year old son, and till him he has been made in this! (Washing is not possible) Buy. It.

Great wee tent

I bought this tent for doing the NC500 on my motorbike. Its small and light so suits motorcyclists perfectly. Quick and easy to erect. Black out works great. I experienced strong winds and very heavy rain throughout the night at Applecross and Durness. The tent didn't let in a drop of water. Surprised to be honest how good it handled the Scottish weather.

Great tent

After a long research in order not to spend too much money on a tent, I have bought this one. Proved to be an excellent choice. Price might be a little steep for some, but I think it is worth it. Went for a camping trip for a week into the Lake District. The tent withstood very heavy rain and strong winds. It held up really good. Couldn't be more happy with it. The pegs are super lightweight. Poles are magnetic, very easy to put together. Takes about 10 minutes to put the tent up with an extra pair of hands. The fresh and black feature worked well. Although it gets warm in scorching sun it is very bearable inside. The blackout feature does the job well, might need a torch even in daylight. Ventilation is very good, couldn't spot any condensation inside. Plenty of room for you and your bergen inside, plus more bags. Good storage pockets on the inside, quite useful. Getting out of the tent could prove to be a bit of a bending gymnastics, it is a bit awkward, but no major drama there. A lot of room to leave your boots/shoes outside your sleeping area. Packs up easily too. Overall, if you are considering buying this tent, buy it. Well worth the money.

Brilliant, would recommend

This is a fantastic purchase. Lightweight for carrying when trekking and so easy to put up. Also, taking the tent down and packing it into the bag is really simple too, which overcomes the frustrating part about tents....the bag never being big enough to fit the tent back in! This tent blocks light out so well too, whilst keeping the inside nice and cool. Plenty of space inside and the design enables bags and shoes to be left outside the tent but still under cover.

Cannot be used in cold or wet UK weather

I am a big fan of Decathlons own brand equipment and have been very happy with many of their tents for several years. Unfortunately this tent is unusable in wet and/or cold (10 C or less) conditions as it is sometimes almost impossible to stretch the fabric enough to seat the poles in their tensioning cups. In warm weather this is not a problem and the fabric stretches and getting the poles seated is not a problem. The problem is most acute if you have cold and wet conditions when it is impossible to maintain enough grip on the wet poles to stretch the fabric. The fresh and black fabric does work very well and I like the design of the tent, BUT the difficulty of getting the tent set up means this tent is almost useless. I did report this to the store but they were unable to suggest a remedy.

Not exactly quick!

I had a trial run setting this up in my garden. I found it extremely hard to get the tent poles to fit into the lugs on the opposite side from their entry point. They seemed too long and it took a real effort of pulling the tent and pushing the poles before I could get them to fit. The following week I had to put the tent up in a rain shower. Even harder, especially with wet poles which were very slippery. It took much too much effort and was potentially dangerous as the poles had to be forced under so much tension that I was afraid they would snap back and hit me in the face. Once the poles were in the tent was easy to finish setting up. The tent holds one person comfortably with room for gear. Two people would find themselves very intimate! The blackout is good, as is the ventilation and the reflective properties of the tent. More comfortable in light and heat than regular tents. Apart from the initial rain shower the weather was good so can't comment on its properties in rain. The tent is easy to dismantle and pack back into its bag. Apart from the problems with the poles I am happy with the tent. I would give it a cautious recommendation because of this.

great tent would be £2-300 by any other name

got it for the lakes and it didnt rain ,was super sunny but this tent kept it nice and dark so didnt wake up at sun rise, had a bit of wind 10mph or so but it handled it well, really good tent pockets ,touch hook, two doors ideal for a hot day to get sum air flow, easy to put up. im 5f5 so plenty of room for me and my camera gear ,cooking stuff and other stuff 5 stars

Highly durable

This tent is amazing! I went camping on the Isle of Scilly in September and had a camping spot next to the ocean. We had a severe storm on the first night that flooded tents, ripped seams, tore zips and upended poles across the campsite - but this tent endured it all! It kept me dry and everything was exactly as I had pitched it the day before. It is exceptionally durable and I am so happy with this product. It has the added bonus of looking a bit like a spaceship from the side :D The only thing I would say is that you would do well to put a groundsheet beneath it as the bottom, although waterproof, is a bit thin so could potentially tear through. The groundsheet will also keep you a bit warmer.

Too small

All is fine and good but this tent is very small for 2 people. On movie presentation they used biegger model ( I've compere how many space is inside on movie and in reality). Good tent but to small for 2 people. It's possible to lay down together but not comfortable.

Merhaba

Hello, I live in Turkey I like this product very much, when it comes to me ?? Help me please

An almost perfect tent

I've really put this tent through its paces this summer, from dust storms in the deserts of Spain to hail storms in the Italian alps, its stood up to all weathers AND allowed me to sleep in till 10am in 36C. It keeps cool in the morning, even without no shade, and is incredibly dark all the time. Its very rainproof and more compact than I expected. One issue worth noting is that groundsheet is very light weight ie NOT made from tarp material, so I worried about camping with it on anything rougher than a lawn...so a use a seperate groundsheet. Hopefully decathlon will fix this in future models and this will be the perfect tent.

3 in 1 hell of a tent. Sand and Soil tested!

The best buy that I have for the year! Great for 2 people. Well ventilated. Useful inside compartments. Not at all difficult to setup. Packs light and customisable according to your configuration need. Tested on Sand and Soil alike. TIP: Leave behind the stakes if you dont need them. it stands by itself nicely. Although the virus isn't going away, this allows me to get away from it. Additional baggage can be conveniently placed in the awning space which is quite cool. Looks awesome when fully sealed. Overall, this is the all the professional tent that you need for any outdoor activity. Great bang for the buck.

An excellent tent for a great price

I bought this tent a coupe of seasons ago and have used it on several occasions. I primarily use this tent to camp from or with my Sea Kayak, on the Irish coastal mainland, but also have camped on offshore Islands in Ireland. The tent is reasonably light. It is very easy to put up once you are used to it, its robust so far for me. It has never leaked, I've never had a condensation problem (which is a big thing for me as I use a down sleeping bag) and the 'fresh and dark' feature is not a gimick, it works well. I also have a much more expensive MSR Hubba tent for light weight backpacking and while yes it is lighter, I prefer to bring this Decathlon tent when ever I can - which is most of the time. Sure its not as good as a Hilleberg or the likes, but its a fraction of the price of one of those. For the money this is an excellent tent. I'd buy another without hesitation .

Супер е. Качествена и удобна. Заслужава си.

Много хладна палатка с много добро проветрение. За 5 дни на плажа се наспивах спокойно сутринта.

Doporučuji

Skvělý samonosný stan s vnější konstrukcí, vydržel bez protečení i pár dní hustějšího deště.
