Great tent. We bought it at the start of the year and have used in during the hot summer months in France for 2 people. The black out lining kept us cool from the sun with plenty of ventilation points while still stopping the mosquitos from getting in. Now we’re cycle touring with the tent at the end of October and it’s staying pretty warm inside and withstanding the strong winds we’re experiencing at the moment. We find it very easy to assemble/take down between 2 of us. It’s up/down within 5-10 minutes depending on how lazy we’re feeling. All of the interior pockets on the ceiling are great for us to keep organised too. Plus the added drying line has been a blessing to hang up our damp towels and swim suits. Highly recommend!
A cracking tent, recently used in sub zero temperatures, which in my opinion is a bridge too far, but I can’t wait to use it in the coming months.
I really wanted to like tgit tents and it's such a shame because it's a really nice tent with some really nice touches. It comes with the right amount of nicely turned pegs, the poles are aluminium and it comes with two pole splints in case one breaks, the blackout fabric is nice, there are rain gutters above the doors, there are 8 pockets inside, four high and four low, there's a lantern hook inside and even a little clothesline with 8 different tabs to hang it from. Two main doors and the two low-down vent options inside are great Also, you can pitch it with bedroom and fly, just the fly if it's very warm but raining, or just the bedroom without the fly if it's very warm and not raining. Bad news is that there are only two openings in the poles sleeves, one at each end, the other end is just sealed off to stop the pole and hold it in the right place... then the other end has a plaspla cup to slot the end into. Sounds ok in practice, in reality the fabric is so dense that the friction inside the pole sleeve is very high and because it's sealed at one end it almost creates a vacuum meaning it's very very hard to get the poles in, and even harder to get them out. The plastic cups are cheap and I think they'd split, if you can manage to get the poles seated, which I couldn't. I agree with the previous review that the force required to get the poles seated is inordinate and proved impossible for me, so I returned the tent. It's well thought out but poorly executed and an extra tenner on some proper aluminium seats for the pegs at each end would sort it out
It's a good lightweight hat with regard to keeping both showers & sun off my face, hence buying a second one. However, Decathlon has let me down due to careless service from the warehouse as this could have been easily avoided. Pros: The tent fabric blocks out light well, as long as the tent flaps are zipped up & the ventilation panels down. It's still darker than other tents when these are open/up. Make sure to take a bright lamp to use in daytime. Small pack size for the internal size of the tent, though it would be crowded for 3 people. The 3 person would be a nice size for 2 with gear. Tent pegs are robust, & pretty. No leaks during rainstorm. Cons: This is the first tent I've ever needed help assembling in 40 years,. I couldn't get the poles in to the tab without an extra pair of hands & lot of force. Tent became hot soon after 9am & by 11am was unbearable by 11am, so unable to sleep during UK heatwave weather. Ventilation won't work unless there's a breeze. Aluminium poles seem robust, though I'm not yet sure whether the inclusion of pole repairs is a good thing, or they are likely to break through the force needed to assemble the tent. Blackout fabric makes the tent heavy for size. Pockets are hard to see in the dark. It's might be a good idea to pitch the tent on a groundsheet to protect the base of the tent which seemed a little thin.
Excellent dark tent, very easy to put up even for my children. Good amount of room and storage space.
Easy to use lighting compact I had take the flysheet to the beach to protect us from the heat and it was great in site of the tent it was at least -8 degrees of different from the outside very happy with the tent thanks
I bought this to take to Glastonbury this year. I ordered the three man tent for two people to sleep in, was plenty of space. Its small when its in the bag, less small when I attempted to roll it back up but still fits in with minimal effort. I didn't want a popup tent that I'd spend ages fighting with on the Monday morning! When I opened it for the first time it took 15 mins from start to finish to get it up. That included reading the instructions and watching a video on how to do it. There are two poles that go diagonally across providing the support and these can only be entered by two corners and I was trying to do it from the wrong side. That was the only hold up! The inside layer is clipped to the outside layer so push two poles through, one small one on top, pegs in and you're done. To sleep in was great. It has two porches, both of which can be pulled back if need be and the black interior still stops people seeing in. Its dark inside, not pitch black, but still far far better than usual tents. It also has two air vents on the sides which help air flow. The tent never got hot, when everyone elses tents were unbearable, ours was just a bit warm, and we were able to sleep till lunchtime! This was the best tent ever in my view!
Great use of the outside layer to provide shade/shelter on the beach for me and 3-4 other friends. Black and fresh as advertised!
Took this tent out camping on the Ninepins and absolutely loved it. Even in late May, it stayed cool and the fly sheet is quite lightproof allowing you to sleep in after sunrise for an hour or two. The tent is heavier than some counterparts but taking into account the extra sleep and he price, well worth!

Wind-resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind.To guarantee its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 45 mph, measured near ground level.
Ventilation and condensation prevention
Bedroom with mosquito net sections for ventilation and water-repellent fabric sections to protect from condensation and drafts. Large vent at the front of the tent’s flysheet and ventilation at the bottom. To limit condensation inside your tent, it must be correctly pitched, the canvas stretched out, but not excessively so.
