Product Customer Reviews

Great product with excellent support.
every time I come with my bike worth £ 1200 to change my brakes I encounter a problem. I changed the brakes three times. I entrusted the bike to the decathlon specialists and every time I didn't find the problem ... An extraordinarily loud noise, as if I'm walking without a tire ... when I press the brakes I have a big noise ... I try to explain to them that it can also change the discs ... they said they don't need to be changed ... it's really a problem in the specialist or in these brakes This year I covered 5,100 miles.
Hi Alexandra, I'm really sorry to hear that you have had issues with your bike brakes, it can be the discs are contaminated, however it can also be due to the marterial of the pads and the ones that the discs are deisgned for. For example when I changed my discs from tektro to Shimano, Shimano recommend that I use an organic pad with their disc, when I dind't change my metallic pad striaght away I had a really loud noise.
Can you contact me directly at marc.cuckson@decathlon.com and I can take a look over the discs for you?
Thanks for your patience

Great for manual bikes. Maybe 6 months plus life out of them.if you've got an ebike that life span half's.
The pads are sized correctly, almost as good as Shimano pads, and a great price.
Dear Mr. Randall,

Great pads and a great price , also have excellent stopping power
Affordable and quality
This brake pads are cost effective and simple to fit by yourself! They have lots of stopping power and are good in all weather conditions.
Installed onto TRP Spyre disc brake calipers. Once the brake pads are bedded in they perform well. One tip is apply a small amount of copper grease on the back of the brake pad and caliper piston using a cotton bud and being careful to avoid contact with the brake pad material or disc rotor. This tip makes the brakes very quiet under heavy braking loads and no squealing. Of course if you don't mind brake noise, then just install the pads in bedded process as normal.
Used on my Riverside 500 - the brakes are Tektro TKD 68 but I couldn't find replacement pads for these listed on any of the descriptions on the Decathlon site. They fit and have significantly improved the braking. They don't come with the small metal pin used to holding them into the brake mechanism, so don't lose the existing one.
Bought these for spares over the winter , but have used before and Can not fault them . Bed in quickly.
Good product nice price.
I've used these replacement brake pads multiple times for my MTB (Rockrider 500). I've found the following positives and negatives: Positive: 1. Cost 2. Braking is as effective as with the original pads that come factory fitted Negative: 1. The friction material is very thin and does not last very long (as a comparison, the factory fitted pads lasted ~ 10,000 Km whereas these last only about 1500 - 2000 Km) 2. The pad, when worn out, fades out completely very abruptly. This could be rather dangerous. I lost braking on the front brake, very fortunately, when running errands close to home. I had done a Nandi ride just the previous weekend and it could have proved catastrophic if it had happened then. 3. There is no replacement split pin to use with the pads. This is a pain point since I need to go to a hardware store to get a new split pin or reuse the old one (which is really not recommended and can be very unsafe - which, by the way, is done by the Decathlon store mechanics themselves, since they do not have replacement split pins)
Exactly what you would expect. Not an expert, all I know is my bike now stops.
very good value quick delivery. as good as any pads i`ve used before.
Used on Specialised Rock hopper to replace original Tektro pads. Working great on my hydraulic discs. These get hard use as I also use the bike to commute with some heavy downhill sections.

Breaking in the pads: essential before starting your ride
You should try braking quickly a few times on a dry, flat, obstacle-free surface. 3 or 4 sets of 10 dry, intermittent stops are enough to break in your pads. Dry braking will wear down the pad a bit. Release your brakes for a few dozen seconds between each set of stops in order to let them decrease in temperature before starting a new series of 10.
Be careful of glazing
If the problem persists despite several short, dry stops, lightly rub your brake pads with sandpaper.
