Foot Pump 520 RIVERSIDE

Poor quality product. Very difficult to inflate tyres with it and the pressure gauge is unreliable.

Bike tire foot pump

Neat easy to use foot pump with a large easy-to-read gauge. I was disappointed to see that it fits Schrader valves only. Rated to just over 80 p.s.i which is sufficient for some Presta valve tires but it won't fit them. The price is very low for a quality piece. I've only used it a few times so cannot speak to durability.

Not working after few uses.

Disappointed!!! After 7 months and few times pump my bike wheels it’s not working anymore. It looks like spring in “valve” is not pushing it up properly which cause pumping wheels not possible!

It's ok

I've actually had mine for years and purchased it because it's easy to store, plus potentially easy to use. I've compared it against a track pump and as they show similar results, I presume it's quite accurate. HOWEVER, I do find that I have to attach the nozzle on just so, otherwise it will not inflate properly or will display a reading higher than it really has. I am used to it now, so not a problem. I'm not sure whether this is typical of all pumps (not had this with the track pump). If I hear a slight "hiss" of released air when attaching, then it's on properly and I can proceed to clamp it. Another issue... having let a family member borrow it, I noticed exaggerated readings. I eventually realised that the needle was no longer fixed or resetting to zero. I unscrewed the plastic panel and put some sticky tac under the needle, ensuring it was around the "0" mark. It seems to be fine ever since. This was cheaper than advertised when I bought it, but I still I wouldn't expect to have to repair a pump in this manner. Would recommend for portability and ease, but keep an eye.

Presta connector broken after few weeks

Broken presta connector after few times.

Flimsy little pump

I must say that this pump is shocking for a bike. It takes ages and feels like it's going to break when I use it and the plastic attachments feel wrong. The gauge doesn't give you a proper reading and darts all over the place. Would be okay for a football but not for the PSI I need for the road bike.I just wish I could return it but no longer have the receipt! I only used it once... Can a representative let me know the returns policy please?

Incompatible with Presta valves

The pump is advertised as being compatible with Presta valves, but unfortunately due to the poor design you can only reach ~50 PSI with a struggle, which is completely useless for a road bike. A typical pump has a 'clamp' used to provide a tight connection between the pump and the tyre, however this pump uses the clamp to attach the Presta attachment to the pump. Therefore you are not able to get a secure connection between the Presta attachment and the tyre valve. This means the hose flies off as soon as any pressure starts to build in the tyre. If you get down on the ground to grip the hose in place on the tyre, and use your hand and all your bodyweight to press down the 'foot' pump, you can get it to about 50PSI, but it's very awkward and it's easy to slip and hurt yourself. This product is not fit for purpose, and unfortunately I've misplaced the receipt so can't even return it despite barely being a week old!

Thank you for taking the time to review this pump. What can really help with presta compatibility is to screw on a presta to schrader adapter to the presta valve. Some stores often have these lying about so it  may be worth asking for one as it will allow you to go up to higher pressures. Personally, I prefer the traditional "track pump" with a handle as it allows the user to reach higher pressures at a faster rate and with less effort, especially for road bikes.
Irrespective of the lack of a receipt, drop a line to your local store as  I'm sure they will swap it for you with little fuss.

Great tool

Great choice

Good pump!

This pump is very effective. Less than 12 foot pumps is sufficient to pump my bike tyre.Highly reccommended.

Bad pump

In general, it does what it says, but unfortunately it tends to slip sideways very easily when pumping. I had to purchase the more expensive one which you put your feet on and use your hands.
