Good design wish it was little lite weight

The shoe fits well and good color, I wish it was a little lite weight for a long hike for kids

My son loves it

It's a good hiking shoe for kids, bought it for our son, he loves the color, it has good grips and the front portion is strong and good protection for the little ones on the trails. He kicks a lot after getting this shoe :)

Good shoes

I purchased shoes from Decathlon store in China, the quality is super good that last for years. So, I was so happy to see they are available in US now! My son loves the new shoes so much !After he tried them on right out of the box and he refuse to take the shoes off. Beautiful design, comfortable to wear it.

Surprisingly durable

I admit that for this price point, I had low expectations given the price point of these shoes, yet they have outlasted more expensive brands after many months of daily use. Almost a year of wear and they are still in great condition. My son has worn them to school almost every day (except snow or really rainy days) where they play on rocks, pebbles, grass, concrete and rubber flooring. He’s worn them hiking all sorts of terrain. Grip and support have been great. They are light which is a bonus. He loves these and today he actually said he wished his feet would stop growing so he could wear these even longer. He has a higher dorsal region and these still fit comfortably.

Sizing way off

I bought these shows one size up from sommes she size and they were too small. Narrow and low on roof of shoe

Excellent active trainer

This is the second pair of these trainers we have bought for my son. He wears them for all things active (walking, PE, cycling, climbing). They are super durable and have great grips. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Solid shoes

Excellent shoes for toddlers and primary school children - I must have bought over 7 different pairs to date in different sizes. There used to be more colours available, so would be nice to see the range improve again...

very good quality

My son liked to wear the shoes. Those were a bit smaller that I expected but they would last at least 3 months. Very hard sole. I used to buy shoes from new balance for him but these one is as strong as new balance and half price.

Worth every penny

I bought these for my wee boy in June 2019 for our exploring holiday to France. Since then, they have become his daily trainer, used at Rugby tots and even on his balance bike. They've withstood all the rough and tumble a toddler will induce and have plenty life in them yet. When he grows out of them we will be buying him another pair as we know they are reliable and good value for money.

Great shoes for good price.

Lovely shoes, I’m very pleased but they are not waterproof as it says.

Great shoes

again same as my grandaughter, my grandson comes hiking with us, these shoes are great for the job.

Sole came off of both shoes after about 10 uses

I bought these for my son as they looked sturdy and well made. After two weeks wear the outer sole has come off both sides of one shoe and one side of the other so they are unwearable. The biggest disappointment however is decathlons reluctance to help return them without me incurring a cost almost as much as the shoes, which is extremely unhelpful.

Additional Product Information

Composition

Upper of: 55.3% Polyurethane, 44.7% Polyester ; Outer sole of: 70.0% Butadiene Rubber, 30.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate ; Lining and sock of: 100.0% Polyester

Buying tips

Get your child to try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check the following 2 areas of comfort: the heel seating and the front of the foot on a downward slope. Avoid any pressure points when fitting. It is a good idea to get your child to walk around the store. He or she should wear in the shoes gradually over a few hikes.

Which size should you choose?

For hiking, do not hesitate to choose 1 size above your usual size to ensure optimal comfort when going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe. Advice: keep your toenails short and, before making your descent, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding toward the front of the boot.

Lab tests

Further laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following: secure attachment of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, resistance to UV rays, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated aging.

Sole grip

The design of the sole has been the subject of in-depth research at our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber formulation to offer the best compromise between grip and traction. As no two requirements are ever the same, we automatically look for the best compromise for walking on both wet and dry terrain.

Product testing

All of our shoes are tested in use near the Mont-Blanc mountain range by users who represent the target market, under the same conditions as they would experience in real-life use.

Storage instructions

Store the shoes in a dry place.
