This tent is bomb proof!

After seeing this tent on a campsite, we decided to buy it, it has everything we need, 2 bedrooms and plenty of living space. We used this last year for a weekend and loved it, this year we went for 10 days to Cornwall and stayed on 3 different campsites, we have now perfected setting it set up, it takes about half an hour, once you have practiced. Our first night in Cornwall, we had storm Evert! We prepared for the worst and set up a bed in the van, come morning, our tent was one of the very few that survived. We cannot recommend this tent enough, it withstood everything that the British weather threw at it. Excellent tent, would highly recommend buying from Decathlon!

Perfect Tent & Great Price

We done lots of research before buying a tent and kept coming back to this one. Didn't cost the earth and the blackout was a must for our children who are awake at the slightest peek of sunshine. Tent is easy to put up with 2 people, takes about 20mins from unpacking to being fully up with guy ropes pegged etc. Again same to put away. Easy to pack away and get in the bag if you take the time to watch the video. The blackout is great for the kids as they sleep way past 7am. It also stays nice and cool inside in comparison to standard tents. It's very sturdy and rigid when up and pegged out properly. We had a very cold, windy and rainy experience in this tent and hasn't let us down yet. The only thing we have upgraded is a better selection of pegs depending on what ground we are setting up on. Certainly think this outperforms some more expensive tents on the market by a long way. Good work Decathlon.

Best tent we've had

Very suprised about the 1 star reviews. This tent is so easy to put up. You peg 4 pegs in, put the poles in, pull two cords and it's up. There's lots of room, it looks smart, the black out is brilliant, the secret entrances the kids love. Yes you can get bigger, but this is perfect for 3 to 4 people. We love it and would highly recommend.

A superb tent; a very happy camper

We’re relatively new to camping and bought this tent in July 2020 after doing plenty of research. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase. With 2 children under 6, the black out feature is incredible. They sleep well past 7 which is a godsend on a campsite! Its got loads of space inside for when it rains. It’s easy to erect, just follow the instructions! It survived Storm Francine in Pembrokeshire last year and also Storm Evert on the Dorset coast this year, both pretty full on storms. I purchased some additional pegs and some stronger guy ropes to give it some more rigidity but for the price, it’s a superb bit of kit.

Fabulous 5 person tent . Needs 2 people to erect but a lot of space . Great value for the money.

Best tent for what we needed

We are a couple, and bought this tent to fit an air bed comfortably in the larger room, and use the smaller room for storage. It comes nearly packed in its own bag, but it is heavy to carry alone (16kg) so definitely need help. TIP: take the pole bag out and give these to a friend to share the load! I had to put this tent up in the rain with a friend, watch the videos - they helped me get this tent up in about 10 minutes. A bit more tarting up to do with guylines and pegs and you're done. We slept in the tent for 3 nights, very heavy rain one night. All of the inside was dry and we were warm. Packed away the same way it went up, again all done and dusted in about 20 minutes. Overall, the functional design is great, it is easy to use and generally impressive (we've been the envy of our friends). The Fresh & Black design kept the tent cool in the day, so none of the stuffiness of resting in a normal tent. The only downside is the weight, definitely need two sets of hands. For the price, I'm not sure you could do much better.

Fantastic tent

Bought this tent last year i am new to camping, i searched the net before purchasing and found myself keep coming back to decathlon. We put this tent up in gale force winds in sept last year. It was solid didnt budge at all and it stayed dry. The flappy bit was really good rather than keep stepping over. 2 adults and 2 kids it was cramped with the kitchen and clothes but the darkness was amazing im like a vampire. We have since purchased the 10 person gazebo to put the kitchen and table and chairs in. The second time we used was the beginning of oct it was so rainy the banks nearly burst on the site we were. So this tent has been put through its paces. Would definitely recommend.

Avoid at all costs. Truly awful I’m every way.

Having been a long time purchaser of Decathlon products, and camping since I was a child, I had every faith this tent would be great. After viewing the ‘air’ version in store, (there was none available and camping had gone a bit mad after the first lockdown was lifted) I was assured by two members of staff, this version would be identical in both shape and size, the only difference being the poles instead of the air beams. Wrong!! The size difference is in fact significant and even for a family of two adults and two very small children it was completely inadequate. The design it’s self is shocking. The front door was a perpetual nightmare, it didn’t matter how many times we pitched and re-pitched the tent, the front zip would never close. In the end we had to use zip ties to keep it together for the duration of our trip. Secondly the lack of stitching of the ground sheet was a bizarre design flaw, especially with the side up to allow air in (which believe me is needed in this thing) it basically means your entire tent is open to bugs, dirt and water. The lack of fly sheets on these areas is frankly absurd. Likewise the design at the top, rather than allowing air flow simply provides a place for every bug on the campsite to get trapped and die. The floor is incredibly poor quality, and despite a pretty good base at the campsite was ripped in two places even with a hard wearing ground sheet down. The ‘fresh and black’ element was absolute rubbish. It was dark, yes, but fresh? Absolutely not. This thing was genuinely the worst tent I’ve been in for condensation and overall heat - it was like being in a sauna and it wasn’t that hot when we went away - around 20 degrees Celsius. Likewise the bedroom (which is again different from the air version) is stitched completely separately from the remainder of the tent, so if you have a carpet to go under the bedroom like we often do for insulation, you can’t use it - neither can you lower it for cleaning. And the middle curtain doesn’t separate, so if you have small kids, you can’t open it into one large bedroom. Literally nothing about this tent works for a small family. The colour almost attracts the heat and if you’re unlucky to have a hot few days you will literally bake alive. Two of the guy ropes attachments failed on the first day, pegs bent far too easily, and frankly this thing was only good for the bin upon our return home. Whilst we loved some of our other camping kit from Decathlon, this is something to absolutely avoid and was such a huge disappointment. I’d never purchase a tent from decathlon again sadly. Even when we called from the campsite to ask what we could do about the door, we were basically told to pack it down and return it, thereby ruining our holiday and sacrificing the money we paid. But if we contained to ‘use it it couldn’t be returned’. Really not good enough for such a poor product. Avoid.

Excellent Family Tent

New to camping we didn’t want to spend a fortune so after reading reviews decided on this one. We are a family of four , our children are 10 & 11 , the tent has plenty enough space if you are organised, myself and my husband had camp beds which utilises space underneath for storing and the kids had blow up beds . The tent is very easy to construct , our first attempt took us about 30 mins - next time I’m sure we will have it up in 20. The instructions to put up and take down are very useful. Luckily the weather was fine so can’t comment on leaking but it’s very well made. The black out rooms are great and the mosquitos net air vents did their job. I would definitely recommend this for family’s who are occasional campers. If we were going to go for any great len
