Cascade 2 Mountaineering Pants

These are excellent stretchy waterproof trousers for Scottish Winter Munros and Climbing. They can even be used in spring / autumn too, with a soft mesh lining inside them then apart from the coldest days you don’t need to wear anything other than underwear on them. Lots of venting, crampon kick patches, integrated gaiters to keep the tops of boots dry and snow from coming up your trousers and, braces to keep cold breeze and wind gaps out, waterproof, breathable and comfy to wear, these trousers should be 5 star as they are fantastic. However they have a big problem, their sizing! I’m a medium in all brands however these trousers run 1-1.5 sizes too small. I have had to go up to a large and they fit better, medium is skin tight on me and I am 6ft, 11 and bit stone, 32 waist. If you have a slight belly then you may neee to go up 2 sizes. This is the only thing wrong with the trousers, apart from that they are great!

These are great for the price they are. I would certainly rate them highly vs other in their price bracket. The material is strong, flexible and has a g good level of waterproofness. I personally find that the lower leg section is maybe a little tight but not overly. The only improvement for me would be to add some of the reinforcement to the knee area as I can see this wearing quicker than the rest of the garment. The gaiters are easily removable and are well made with good adjustment.

Tried these on in store and the fit is very comfortable. Used them for the very first time winter climbing in Scotland 2 days ago. They are more than warm enough and are very comfortable to wear. They have ventilation zips which i found very useful for keeping cool. I also found the in built gaiters worked very well and kept the snow out of my boots. The down side of these trousers is durability. One of the internal gaiters has come loose as half the stitching came off. I've noticed that it is only one row of stitching that attatches the gaiters to the trousers and once they are connected to your boot via the lace clip they are under tension. It would appear the gaiters have not been stitched well enough to be under tension. The shell fabric is comfortable however is very soft and not durable. The fabrics has scuff marks caused from being on my knees on only one occasion during climbing. They were also easily punctured by my crampons Great fitting trousers but simply not durable enough. After 1 day of use im already looking at putting these in the bin. Not acceptable.

Pros: This trousers are very cool looking, lightweight, very comfortable to wear, stretchy, built in gaiters, high waist model Cons: I'm wearing size 34 but had to order size 36 as 34came in and was super small, There are no reinforced knee areas for unknown reason You will need some good base layers with this if you think about going out in winter,these are very thin

I bought these for winter mountaineering, they are a water and windproof material which is great in cold days but you do need the leg zips open for the trousers to breathe. Plus the blue colour is awesome.

Веднъж писах, но сега искам да добавя още към оценката си. Впечатлен съм. Бях на курс, където се наложи доста да се потъркаляме в снега. Включително копахме снежни пещери. Аз бях от малкото, може би единствен, който с този панталон не се наложи да се суши при завръщане в хижата. Даже не се и навлажни!

Панталона ми беше препоръчан от приятел, който го е ползвал дълго време. Това, което ми харесва е качествената изработка и материали. Не отстъпва по нищо на доста по-скъпи модели.

Дълбоко дъно и защита за кръста. Когато е с гетите се обува/събува малко по-трудно защото самите гети са доста плътни по крака. Кройката е slim.

Skvělé univerzální kalhoty, odzkoušeny při lyžování v Alpách, trekingu v Lotyšsku, běžkování a lezení na žule a skialpinismu. Materiál je dostatečně odolný (vydržel i "zásah" hrotem hůlky). Integrované návleky taky perfektní. Voděodolnost je i po třech sezónách skvělá. Jedinou výtku mám k větracím otvorům, mohli by mít síťku

Dobrý den,kalhoty vyzkoušeny v extrémním počasí....sněžení,silný vítr,bez nadsázky velice dobrý výrobek,používám na skialpinismus,několikráte odzkoušeno v Tatrách!Vynikající střih,kvalitní zpracování,není co vytknout!

Fajn kalhoty, fungují tak, jak slibují. Otestováno např. prošlapáváním v hlubokém sněhu (80cm). Vypadají, že vydrží, asi si je užiju delší dobu. Výborný dojem kazí pouze 2 věci, které by mohly být lépe dotažené: - kšandy nedrží. Zkrátím je, ale po chvíli se brzda posune a jsou zpátky úplně navolno - návleky mají dookola pogumovaný pás, aby lépe držely - ale ocenil bych, aby měly i pásek/lanko pod botu. Při delším brodění hlubokým sněhem měly tendenci se vzadu vyhrnout (vepředu je háček) a sníh šel zezadu do boty, i když to byly relativně vysoké kotníkáče. Je to drobnost, ale potěšila by. Jinak výborný střih i barvy.

Na to, ze jsou to membranove kalhoty s vodnim sloupcem 20 000 mm jsou dost levne. Nepromokavost je stoprocentni a prodysnost je v pohode. Rozparky na zip jsou super, protoze se kalhoty daji pouzit i pres lyzaky napr. na skialpy. Rozepinani na vetrani se hodi a pouzivam ho casto. Jen s ksandami nejsem spokojeny, protoze se behem pouzivani povoluji... Krom tohoto jsou to ale skvele kalhoty!
