Product Customer Reviews

I needed a wetsuit very quickly and this was the best place to get one. Unfortunately the sizes are not great and for my small 10yr old son I ad to buy the age 14 wetsuit. So sizes are very small, as he normally wear between 8-10. This was a little large but the size down age 12 was too small. I wouldn’t have purchased this if I was desperate. However that said it done its job and hopefully will still fit my son next summer. Nice design and does exactly as I would expect.
Good wetsuit for summer use
As it is just a single layered 2mm wetsuit it can be cold at lower temperatures. But it is perfectly adequate for a warm UK summer's day swim in the North Sea
Bought these wetsuits for my 9 year olds who normally would find age 9 clothes on the large side but these do come up small. I ordered age 10 and they fit but were a snug fit! They were great though in the sea in Cornwall. I recommend.
Bought this for my eldest to go body boarding and it does the job. Given it’s thickness it’s more suited to warmer weather but on a sunny day it keeps the chill out and the stops them getting burned off the sun while having a nice day at the beach! I would also recommend getting some shoes and gloves to go with the suit for warmth and walking on pebbles.
Bought for kids to swim in sea in Cyprus at end Oct Meant they could stay in much longer (sea temp 24) And swim in unheated pool in Oct Great price
Very happy... I purchased a age 10 although my son is 7 and it fits him perfect with just a little room for growing - I would recommend buying based on height rather than age. My son is taller than the usual 7 year old.
Used for wild reservoir swim and the sea. Did a great job !
I ordered the age 12 as my son is 10 and not big for his age so thought that would definitely fit but it was too small - his arms couldn’t fit through and I could hardly zip it up! I returned the wetsuit and ordered a age 14 which is a much better fit. Lovely wetsuit but would def order a couple of sizes up.
Excellent value.
Good fit, keeps them warm & seems well made
I bought this for my 11year old son for three weeks surfing in France. It was worn every day and was perfect - highly recommend it.
We have these for both our children. Hours of fun in the sea and in the lake thanks to these wetsuits. The neckline works for kids as it's not too high, and the zip legs make it easy to get on and off. This is our second purchase (grew out of the first ones).
My 12year old son picked this were suit for himsel, he like the nice bright colour. The size is perfect and the delivery was very quick. Good value for money as he will probably need a new one next year again as he is growing so fast, excellent product .
Good wetsuit for the beach in warm weather

Composition
Main fabric: 90.0% Rubber - Chloroprene - Neoprene, 10.0% Polyamide
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)
The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 45 and 54°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)
The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models, and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models.Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models.NB: the 900 models are easier to put on.
Choose the right size
To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit to ensure the best possible thermal efficiency. It is perfectly normal to have the impression it is too tight when trying it on in a fitting room or at home. This discomfort quickly disappears once the suit gets wet.
Materials
This Tribord 100 2/2 wetsuit is made with genuine neoprene to ensure even better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
Neck
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms, knees) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods.Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.
Fastening
Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Zipper pull
We are required by law to put a short cord on the zippers of junior products to prevent the risk of strangulation for the youngest users. For older children, you can add a longer cord so that they can operate the zipper themselves. A small rip-tab prevents accidental opening of the zipper during use.
Anti-chafing design
We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.
Stay warm for longer thanks to our thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own outfit...
When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties.- in cold water (54 - 63°F): High booties (boots) and gloves.- in very cold water (44 - 54°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top...Find our entire range of neoprene accessories at decathlon.fr!
Product testing
Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory-tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.
Storage instructions
In a dry, ventilated place. Avoid heat sources. To extend the life of your wetsuit, do not leave it out to dry in direct sunlight. Machine washing is not recommended.
