Gluing problem

Repeated manufacturing problem. Detachment of upper rubber on several pairs.

Bugdet gloves

Mediocre gloves with thicker, stiff, but not very sticky rubber. The velcro part of the straps are made out of some sort of plastic that will twist/deform after a while, making the straps come loose. When that happens, you will simply slip out of them when eg sweaty.

Effectively protects the top…

Effectively protects the top of the hands during jamming. You lose a bit of sensitivity (but that's normal), the grip of the rubber inspires confidence.

fragile

After 1 week in Annot, the wrist closure scratch is torn off and makes the glove unusable as it is... the latter seems really fragile at the seam. Before the breakage, the latter was doing his job with regard to the protection of the hands in the crack.

Poor quality

I bought these to try crack climbing in the gym. They sat in my bag for a while. When I did try to use them the Velcro strap snapped on my first time putting them on. Worrying for a climbing product.

At first they hurt where it rests on the fingers

At first they hurt where the fingers rest, then they adapt well and protect the hands.

Very bad rubber

I honestly admit that while most of Simond's products rather fulfill their role for their price, these gloves are tragic. They come out of the scratches and make it virtually impossible to wedge your hands. Unfortunately, it was necessary to additionally cover them with a climbing plaster and then it worked just fine, he is not an outstanding scratch climber, but the instructor who was with me confirmed my observations. When it comes to hand protection and durability, you can't complain.

Nice slit gloves

I tried this product on granite cracks in various areas of the Alps, both on long and single pitch routes and I found it good. They fit well and have good friction.

Great for the purpose, almost perfect

Excellent for the purpose, almost perfect, a small flaw is that the soft part of the velcro is too short and thin. It would be better to widen it to allow for a firmer closure.

New product with a number of weaknesses

Got the gloves for a 2-week holiday in Val di Mello (bought on 08/10/19) Pros: - rubber coating on the back of the hand clamps well - ideas to release your own glove Con: - the Velcro fastener is more or less destroyed in the area of application (crack climbing) gradually by itself. The material of the velcro is rigid and bends outwards when clamped, after that the closure closes poorly and gets stuck on clothing and with further clamping and opens - the eyelet on which the velcro is pulled through is made of relatively soft material, i.e. the eyelet widens when it gets hot, which is why the glove has to be closed further. This means that the Velcro protrudes and no longer closes. Conclusion: When climbing, the glove opens all the time by itself, on clothing, at the tear itself, etc. Therefore rather disappointing. Unfortunately I will have to exchange the glove for another after only two weeks of use.

It's good

I bought with apprehension, because colleagues were rather critical. Fears turned out to be unnecessary - the gloves work great, they stick well to the hand, they do not move.

Too little of everything...

Of course I saw the gloves from the price point of view and ordered them directly. The first time I tried it, it turned out that the gloves didn't actually fit well. I ordered them in my size (L/9). The glove sits very tight on the wrist, so I can hardly move my hand. My finger is almost pinched off at the thumb loop and the material will soon tear there as well. The grip is moderate to insufficient compared to the competition. I see the biggest shortcoming in the lack of protection for the base of the thumb. For me, at least 4cm² of leather and rubber are missing there. Classic fist clamps are not feasible. Unfortunately not my product...
