Attention! Being equipped with 3 products should not lead you to think that you are completely protected. Remain prudent.
An avalanche victim detector allows you to locate a buried skier or tourer if they have an AVD in transmit mode.
Shoveling takes on average longer than finding the victim. So you must be efficient. 1. The bucket selection: plastic for its lightness or aluminum for greater effectiveness with hard or compact snow. 2. The bucket size and shape: the handle should not be too short, so it makes an effective lifting arm. The shape must provide a good balance to cut snow which is at times very compact and to enable removal.
