This review is about compatibility, not product quality (which may be fine, could not use to tell). After mounting the stand on each of the two bikes, in both cases the bike's shifter cable rubs against the stand's plate. Not compatible so cannot recommend. (I guess if you have a metal saw you could trim the plate, then I think it would fit the Rockrider ST500).

I have had this kickstand for less than 3 months and the bottom portion (which is meant to be adjustable) fell out during my ride. I only cycle on paved and gravel paths. I am not sure how this fell out so easily
The foot pad size is large giving MTB’s a safe stand for uneven ground.
This is a really good stand, the only problem is it doesn't fit the Rockrider ST520 Mountain bike with the fitting kit supplied The top bracket interferes with the front derailleur cable. In order to make it fit I had to fabricate a new top bracket with a recess to allow the cable to travel freely and a backplate to round the back and underneath and butt up against the kickstand to hold the stand rigid. With the new bracket the stand fits perfectly and is a good addition to the bike. I know some of you might be wondering why I fitted a stand on a mountain bike, but the bike has proved to be so versatile (It really is a good bike) that I have fitted a panier rack and bags to it as I use it on all types of errands instead of using a vehicle. In less than 10 minutes you can remove the rack and stand and hit trails.

Sturdy stand, easy to fit with all necessary fittings for different frame designs.
If you want a stand, this is one of the best. I use it on. a heavy mountain and it's excellent.

The description says that it's only suitable for 24", 26" and 28" bicycles so I was sceptical on purchasing this as I have a 20" folding ebike. I thought I'd try anyways and if it doesn't fit then I'd return it. Upon installation, the bicycle was leaning too far inwards but once you adjust the leg stand length then it works perfectly fine. The great thing is it's sturdy enough to hold my grocery shopping in the panniers so a great purchase all round!
Good solid product. Slightly difficult to get the bolt tightened to the correct torque.
I was told by a sales assistant that this should work well on my Rockrider 540, but, no matter how I tried to install, it seems to always create pressure on the sable, slightly bending it. Overall the stand is good but I'm not sure this advice was correct.
