Product Customer Reviews

Haven't found any slippage. Cheap. Not used enough to figure out how quickly it wears.
Great grip easy to install not a hassle at all
I had to return the tyres as they were the wrong thickness... The size was not displayed on the website. Sadly stores are too far away for me to check directly. Will not order again as it is impossible to find the measurements...
The size is 26.1.75 (ETRTO 44-559). I noted that the image is not the correct one (which may have caused confusion). I have asked for this to be updated by the web team.

Needed new slicks for the MTB and these tyres ticked all the boxes
These tyres are exactly what I was looking for. they have made a difference to my road cycling as I had chunky tyres before
The tires are well made and fits my bike well. Good on paved roads. Smooth ride. It also has a reflectorized paint on the wall for additional safety.
Have had little chance to use it, but I’m happy so far.
It Definitely Has A Better Grip Than Mtb On Roads But Its Heavy Than Mtb Tyres.

They work well and look good. Sometimes they skid when braking hard on smooth surfaces but that seems fair.
I like the width and thread as it will not trap dirt easily. Would be better if they show the DIRECTION of the arrow for installation. I not sure I put it on right side and need to test on wet road to know how.
Thanks for your feedback about the City5 Protect 26x1.75 City Bike Tyre - ETRTO 44-559 - Black ! We're sorry that it did not provide a satisfactory experience.

This tyre is very slippery on wet, smooth, metallic surfaces. I have fallen twice at very slow speed in the rain while making a gradual turn. Once, while on a slope with smooth surface in the rain, when I pedal hard, the tyre was spinning on the spot for a few seconds without inching forward. This tyre is not suitable for wet surfaces.
Smooth and silent on pavement & asphalt. Rides ok over gravel. Would be better if a lighter and folding version is available.
Surprising good grip for city slicks. Not expecting top end performance for the price but it did well enough.

How to measure tire wear
To measure the wear on your city bike treys and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Usual signs of wear include: - tread starting to fray - the appearance of a series of micro cracks - low tread depth - the frame becomes visible. In all these cases the tire is worn and needs replacing.
How to remove a tire
To remove your tire, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tire lever to remove the tire from the rim.
How to fit a tire
To put the tire back on, place one side of the tire into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tire (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, insert the other side of the tire into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tire and the rim.
How to inflate your tire correctly
Inflate your tire carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tire. Also, before each outing, make sure that your tires are at the correct pressure for your ride.
Tip from the pros
When inflating your tire, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tire pressure to increase the tire's traction. On the other hand, when riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
