Good Quality with no support at all.

Received bike well packaged. perfect condition. No manual or tools included. There is a generic online tutorial covering a range of bikes, is all. Nothing specific that I could find. There is a switch on the handlebars which I guess would pertain to the hub generator/light system but what it does is for a tibetan monk to figure out. lol ...It has no wire attached so who knows? In that I cannot get an answer on basic questions after several attempts...I would worry about warranty issues especially. Really on the fence about recommending this bike to anyone?? It is well made and will last i think. A cautious yes! Hopefully I'll hear something soon?

Fantastic Bike

Perfect for commuting in the city, feels fully loaded from the start. Rides smooth and is very aesthetically pleasing.

Great features and high quality for the price

I received the bike yesterday. It was very well packaged (lots of padding), and just took a few minutes to set up with the provided tools: You just have to adjust the handlebar, screw in the 2 pedals, inflate the tires, and done. Riding the bike is very enjoyable. It has a high riding position which is great for commuting. A couple good things not mentioned in the description: First, the frame has 2 threads right behind the rear brakes, which allow you to install a frame lock without the need for any adapters. Second, the wheels and the seat come with plain nuts and not quick releases, so it makes it slightly more difficult to steal them.

Good all round bike

I had this bike for 4 weeks before it got stolen from Farnborough Station! :-( , but during the time I had this bike I found it very easy to use and very good all round cycle. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on this cycle, I am sure you will enjoy it. I am back on the waiting list to get my hands on a replacement.

So far I am very happy

I love my new bike.

Best value general bike on the market

This is probably the best sensible entry level bicycle on the market, excluding cheap bike shape objects that cost more to maintain than they are worth. It rides well; the brakes work well in all conditions; the seat is comfortable. It is ready to go as it comes with a built in lock and lights. You don't have to worry about carrying lights or charging them as the dynamo is hidden in the middle of the front wheel, offers no resistance and just works. You wouldn't buy a car without a lock or lights so why a bike. You should buy the PLUG-IN CHAIN BIKE LOCK FOR THE DEFENDER FRAME LOCK Item Code : X8539557 as this locks the bike to a fixed object or the front wheel to the bike or both (if the object is thin). The pannier carries lots. The only think you should consider if you get into cycling is that you may need to upgrade some accessories. a £4 PTFE ANTI FRICTION DERAILLEUR CABLE will make the three large gears shift more easily, as they are a bit stiff. The designers should look at this in the next version. One of the reflectors broke when I touched it with my foot (easy to replace); the brake pads seems to have been of the batch that wore too quickly (but they will be easy to replace) and the kick stand has failed. Unfortunately the rear light has stopped working. I assume this can be replaced under guarantee.

So many problems with 1 year of usage

lights stopped working within a month . Needed a replacement. Chain broken and chain guard fallen off during ride. Above has happened during mostly office to home commute (hardly a mile). It is not suitable for bridle ways etc. One day I took it to local bridleway and mud gurad front wheel set came off . It is an OK bike if you just stick to quiet roads only.

Poor product and very unprofessional service

I have just unpacked the bike today and am already extremely disappointed about the purchase. The bike is faulty and wrongly built. The handlebar is set incorrectly and brakes, gear changers and ring ball are randomly placed on the handlebar. The numbers in one gear changer face forwards, in the other backwards (see pictures below). The brakes face the driver. Whoever has built this bike has never seen a bike before. This service is extremely unprofessional and disappointing. It should deserve 0 stars. Also, the quality of the bike does not seem great. Unfortunately I cannot say how it feels to ride it, since it is faulty and impossible to ride. Finally, in my parcel I did not receive any wrench. Here are some pictures of the bike and its handlebar

Absolute shambles

I ordered this bike three weeks ago and was so excited to start cycling into work. When the bike finally arrived, there were no instructions or tools to assemble it. I then went into decathlon to buy my own tools at an extra cost, only to find that the handle bars had been installed upside down and the total wrong way round. I can’t use the bike and have been advised to take it into the store to be fixed. The nearest store is a 40 minute walk (without a broken bike in toe). If I hadn’t realised the handle bars were on incorrectly I could have used the bike and gotten myself killed. This is such a disappointment from decathlon. I imagine there are untrained staff in their warehouses assembling these bikes. I expect at least a partial refund and the bike to be fixed immediately. Not recommended.

I like it because it was a fast and light bike

Best touring bike on a budget

The is my second decathlon bicycle after I bough a cheap one elsewhere. Decathlon bikes have great price/quality relationship, I cannot find this elsewhere. What a difference from the bike I had before. Smooth, fast, well built, comfortable and practical. I cannot overstate the practicality of a inbuilt dynamo hub. No need to remember to charge and install the lights before your journey starts. The back light stays on for a few seconds when you stop. Specially important at traffic lights. Lights are a must for commuting, even during day time. I recommend you order at the store or request to be collected there because they will unpack it and tune the bike ready for you to use. This is the best touring/commuting bike if you are on a budget. Anything cheaper than this is poor quality and isn't worth the money. The shifter isn't the best, lacks accuracy, but does its job and isn't cranky. This is the only thing I have to point out, everything else is just great quality for the price

Be aware, using the stock brake shoes in muddy/wet condition will cause severe damage to the rims. Sand will be caught into the shoes and then you’re effectively riding a lathe. Overall very robust, have some minor problems but no big deal.

Great bike

Early days yet but every thing seems in good order and no complaints

The perfect commuting bike

I'm not usually one to write reviews but the Hoprider 100 has served me fantastically well. There's been a couple of niggles which had to be fixed up and some TLC needed such as adjusting brakes but nothing too intense. The rear light stopped working after 4 months, I'm not sure what's happened to it. For the price you get a bike that's great in all-weathers and can get you up and down hills with ease with the number of gears it has. I wasn't expecting to enjoy riding it quite as much as I have. If you're looking for a bike that will see you through all weathers and be fun to ride this is definitely it! There's a couple of things I'd have liked to have seen on the bike. I'm aware these asks have been solved on other Hopriders! - puncture resistant tyres, this would make it the ultimate commuting bike - disc brakes, the brakes are good but can suffer in wet weather which discs would avoid - better construction of the rear light
