Product Customer Reviews

First I had to send mine back and order 4 sizes larger than what I normally have. On my first ride (maybe 30 minutes) I used more than half the break. Must be the cheapest quality there is because you could literally peel the rubber off with your fingers.
I love love love my rollerblades. Comfortable and a reasonable price
Love the service i got from Decathlon, online shopping with them is a real peace of mind
Love rollerblading with my son!
My very first roller blade. Love it!
The buckle was hard to operate at first and I had to get used to it. It's just not the traditional one I was used to. Unfortunately due to lockdown I haven't been able to use them as much as I'd like
Great fit, comfortable and smooth ride
The boots fit well and are comfortable and while it’s a hassle tying the shoelace the only thing that works well is the Velcro strap – the top faster around the ankle is difficult to engage and often comes un done
The fit and finish of the boot is very nice. It is very supportive around the foot and ankle which is good because there is not much of an insole. If you pronate, you might want to put a different insole in them for proper arch support. The boot is on the warm side. The laces work well, but they are REALLY long. I tried bundling them up under the ankle strap, but that created a noticeable lump where you don't want it. I've since wrapped the lace right around the whole boot hockey style to take up the excess. I might put in shorter laces or experiment with quick laces. The wheels and bearings leave a lot to be desired, but at this price they are basically use up and throw away. After two weeks of city fitness skating (no tricks or things that would wear the wheels down) they are almost worn right down. 80A wheels are way too soft for rough city streets on a regular basis. The claimed ABEC-7 wheel bearings don't really spin like other grade 7 bearings I've come across.
Ive tried it before and im about to get another pair since mine broke (with a hammer) but it has amazing quality
*Have not skated in 26 years, decided to give skating a try again and these were the only boots in store (at the time) that were in my size and fit well.* The soft boot is really comfortable and well fitting which makes the ride feel so much better. The wheels hardness, height and bearings is balanced for a slower speed, grippy feeling. (beginner friendly) The setup works amazingly on super smooth surfaces like in decathlon or reasonable on outdoor pavement. (very forgiving for the new skater) The boot is non removable (lining wise) and the frame is moulded to the boot. So it's pretty much a wear till it breaks and throw away non upgradeable except wheels and bearings. As a fitness skate, this is a great entry level skate. However for the price I would advise anyone with greater then beginner skill to get the Oxelo MF500. (ability to swap frame, changeable liner, replaceable parts and better value at £10 more) I believe the MF500's have the same wheels and bearings setup as the FIT500.
These were a gift for my son and he loves them. Can’t wait to get to the skating rink as often as he can.
GreT skates and great customer service
good fit - I went a size larger and there is a bit of room but not too much
A nice pair of skates and they are very comfy. I ordered a size 8 which is my shoe size and going by the online size guide but they are a very tight fit, So i would recommend getting a half a size bigger or even an whole size bigger. Do these comes in a size 9? Thanks

How do they stay comfy and fitted?
The semi-soft boot with 3D mesh is comfortable and stops too much moisture building up inside the skate. The new comfort foam and heel cushioning also make life more pleasant. The cuff (the part of the boot that comes up your leg) is stiff and comes far enough up to hold your ankle in place. Along with the triple fastening system (laces, micro metric buckle, and strap), it holds your ankle snugly.
Do you need to choose between glide quality and handling?
No, not with Oxelo. Decathlon's Fit 500 inline skates glide along really nicely with their aluminum frame (stiffer than a plastic frame transfers the skater's energy very well), ABEC 7 bearings, and new 80 mm rubber wheels (80 A hardness to give you more grip and comfort). The combination of the aluminum frame and the 80 mm rubber wheels gives you a good balance between pushing and glide quality. The frame can also take 84 mm wheels.
How can you maintain/repair your skates?
You can replace parts or repair your skates using the after-sales parts available in store, online, and at your local Decathlon store's workshop. The parts you can change are the 80 mm 80A or 80 mm 84A wheels and the ABEC 7 or ABEC 9 bearings. The brake support is adaptable on both feet.
How can you make your skates last longer?
To extend the lifespan of your skates, after skating through water, dust, or sand, take the wheels off, dry them, and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth.Find our advice and tutorials on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/oxelo/videos
How can you make the wheels last longer?
It's normal to switch your wheels around because they don't wear out evenly. The reason? We often skate with our feet sloping slightly inward when we push off and turn.If you want to stop them from wearing out, switch your wheels around (in pairs).
What is the maximum weight for these oxelo fit 500 skates?
These adult skates meet the EN 13843 class A standard (adult inline skate standard). This standard applies to ”Roller sports equipment - inline skates” designed for a person weighing between 45 lbs and 220 lbs. This European standard defines the safety requirements and the specifications for the test methods, markings, and information provided by the manufacturer, with the aim of reducing the risk of injury.
How much do the oxelo fit 500 skates weigh?
6.2 lbs per pair in size 9½.
How are our products tested?
All of our skates have been lab-tested. These tests validate their compliance with the European standards for skates, as well as their resistance to wear.As well as lab tests, we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
