WATERPROOFING of the Tribord dinghy/catamaran sailing jacket:
This windproof jacket was laboratory tested under a shower of 60 liters of water / m² / hour for 3 hours, which corresponds to fine, steady rain or a medium downpour.
This test demonstrates that the water does not pass through either the sealed seams or the fabric. The adjustments and fabrics at the extremities (neck, waistband and cuffs) prevent water getting in while in a static position and greatly reduce it during physical exertion.
Adjustments of the Tribord S100 dinghy/catamaran sailing jacket: NECK FASTENING
The neck is fastened by zip only, which can go up over the mouth to shelter the user from wind and spray.
Adjustments of the Tribord S100 dinghy/catamaran sailing jacket: WAISTBAND AND WRISTS
For more waterproofing, less wind entry and greater freedom of movement:
* the waistband features elasticated sections on both sides
* the cuffs are adjustable by rip-tab.
POCKETS of the Tribord S100 dinghy/catamaran sailing jacket:
The positioning of the pockets is located according to 50N buoyancy vests, to remain accessible during the practice of the sport.
The size of the pockets was designed so as not to be cumbersome or too heavy in order to not hinder maneuvers or movement.
Its design and tests were therefore carried out with a snack of 2 cereal bars. The contents remain stable in the pocket and remain accessible.
The jacket can be rolled up into its pouch for storage!
