Well made I think it would benefit from a stud/button to firmly fix front fold on right shoulder.
I bought the size down for my dog but it was too tight. This is quite loose. That said he no longer shivers whilst sitting up and waiting and seems much more able to concentrate and is happier. So the jacket is doing the job well. I would suggest a larger range with more overlap of sizes. I would pay more for this quality.
As I have never purchased an item like this for my dog I don't have anything to compare it to, but here is what I can tell you. The medium fits my 24kg Working cocker spaniel quite well, the way it fastens with 6 vertical velcro tape sections on one side and one full length horizontal tape on the other side, leaves scope to alter the shape on the dog. It seems fairly durable and definitely keeps the dog warmer than when he's not wearing it, even after he's been in the water swimming. At the price if it lasts a winter or two it's really good VFM.

Quality
Nice quality for the money and really good fit for my small cocker. My only negative comment would be the Velcro fastenings take a bit of adjusting to get the coat to sit nice and flat and with a wriggly dog this can take a couple of goes! It has good coverage and the chest piece is narrow enough that the material doesn't cut in under the front legs. Very pleased.
Nice jacket
Just bought this for both my lab and cocker. Pleased with the fit on the for the cocker but the one for the lab just fits is one was the XL. early days yet will put them through is passes and will review it again in a few months too see how it’s held up. Only thing i would say if i was to make a suggestion to Solognac is if they would make a XXL definitely would be beneficial for people with labs, pointers etc.
I guess this vest is testament to "getting what you pay for". I was initially pleased with the fit. However, my working cocker put holes in the vest first time out and within 2 weeks the vest simply didn't stay on any more. Cheap, cheerful, not fit for purpose.

Don’t last crap material
I am sorry that you have had a problem with the neoprene dog gilet. If you could give me a bit more information on the problems that you have come across with this gilet, I can forward them on to the production team in France.
If you could tell me how long you have had the gilet, where your dog has been using it eg; on the foreshore, estuaries or lakes & rivers. If you still have your receipt and would like to return this product to the store where it was purchased, It could be swapped for another product or for a refund.

Well made good quality would recommend for your working dog for wet and water work or just to keep the core temperature up on those cold wet days
Sizes are confusing. Medium is working cocker size for up to 17 kg dog. It's a little tight on my brothers dog but it's supposed to be snug. I bought it as he has always felt the cold and always gets soaked. I have used this for a month and wish I new about them when he was 1 year-old. It keeps him MUCH warmer, and has significantly reduced his shivering, which has to be a good thing to prevent muscle tightness and injury. I had him beating and he didn't get snagged up on undergrowth / bush, but he's 8 and not as pocket rocket as he was when he was young. On balance, I'd say it's worth a few snags for the protection it gives to their belly and back, makes lifting him over fences easier and it keeps him very warm, which was the main reason I got it. If you are working the dog three times a week, this will probably last 1 or 2 seasons which seems good value to me. If your dog is not working, I would guess this should last 3 years but that will come down to how adventurous your dog is. It also keeps him much cleaner.
