I bought this rod from decathlon in reading, I caught about 2 3lb pike on it, which for my first pke fishing experience I felt pleased. However 24hrs after I caught the fish, i flung my first cast and the rod snapped (from a cast!), this is a seriously bad rod and would not recommend it for anyone who would like to go fishing more than once! Thanks for your mail, sorry to hear about your experience with the rod. Obviously we wouldn't expect it to snap from a cast, could you give me a little more information about what happened? What weight were you casting, was the rod fully extended?

fantastic rod for the money ive had plenty of fish on it a nice 9lb jack pike ive used it for waggling had bream roach perch ..... and im even going to nip on the local river see if i can bag a nice trout on it ;) for £9 ..... you cant beat it its the perfect rod for someone who wants to try out fishing to see if you like it i started 4 month ago and now im hooked (no pun intended) and if the other half found out how much i had spent on gear and tackle she would kill me !!!!!

very good Rod and Reel and also good combination .....but the seating reel is quite long from the bottom ...my suggestion is at least 12 inches so that will be easy for single hand fishing

1 meter is it's shortest form so it's not a carry in your backpack rod. Best value (999). I ordered 4 pcs. It's not exactly for beginners too. 12 feet is not a joke. I love it because it gives me the range I wanted. I have no problem carrying it along. I look damn pro
Have been using this rod since last 2 yrs. have caught many fishes starting from catfish to monster carps. Heaviest fish landed is 21 lbs. the rod never disappointed me. Just that the reel is ok as compared to the rod. U need to use a good quality reel to efficiently use this marvellous rod. I have 4 of these same rods. 10/10 from my side. Cheers..,,, happy fishing
