The app is totally useless, loosing all workout data.
Overall happy with the bike. Smooth peddling and good build quality. Some negatives: Screen times out after 1min of inactivity. Progress is lost if not using Bluetooth. This really annoyed my wife as she had to stop for a couple of minutes and lost progress. Would be good to auto connect to phone and sync progress periodically. However sync doesn't work from the onboard bike unit to phone. You have to load the app on the phone to connect to the bike. When connecting by Bluetooth the programs on the econnect seem ok, shame you can't download or customise. Shame you can't link or share with other platforms ie Garmin.
Easy to assemble, and so far it has not let me down - doing 45 mins a day on it and its working fine, No hesitation in recommending.
It's a great bike and works however it has developed a knocking in the pedals which can be felt once per revolution at the same spot. I'm not sure if it's a bearing in the pedals or the mechanism but it's only the 7th time I've used it. Will be contacting decathlon.
Bought this during the covid lockdown to burn off some energy. I’ve never really liked exercise bikes as I’ve always found them uncomfortable but thought I’d give it a go - desperate times etc. I’d wanted to buy a cheaper one but turns out everyone has been buying exercise bikes so I had to pay more than I’d planned - also because I wanted my son to be able to use it, and he’s not far off 120kg. Cheaper machines couldn’t bear his weight safely. Anyway, I plumped for this one and it’s excellent. Easy to assemble (although an extra pair of hands is useful) and very sturdy. The seat is very comfortable for me, although my son complains a bit. The place to clip a phone or tablet is really useful. I love the fact that it’s self powered - plugging it in would have been a nuisance. I’ve set it up in front of the French windows so it’s almost like being outdoors...! In short, feels like one of my best ever investments.
We just finished assembling the bike, and the screen doesnt turn on even after pedaling for 15 minutes. We have checked the wire connections and everything seems fine Several people seem to have had that same issue. @Decathlon team, could you please post a solution or some information on how this has been resolved for the other customers who experienced the same issue? Thanks
Very comfortable and a great exercise bike
Bought for a poor weather fitness crusade and delivering real benefit already. Lots of options, app is decent but limited in analysis options but does work well with the machine. Well happy!
This machine should be between 10K-15K max

How do you measure your heart rate?
Your 500 exercise bike comes with heart rate sensors integrated to the handlebar. 1. Place your hands on the sensors. 2. Your heart rate will appear on the screen of your console after a few seconds. Simple and reliable!

How do you track and improve your progress?
To analyze your statistics and track your progress, this bike is compatible with the E-Connected app. How does it work?- Each week you set a goal to achieve, whether it's time spent on your bike, distance traveled, or calories burnt. - As you exercise on your Bike500, you will see yourself approach your goal. App available on iOS and Android, rated 4/5
How do you adjust the bike?
To ensure a good pedaling position, start by adjusting your saddle height: Standing next to the bike, adjust it to hip height. And the handlebars? Depending on your height, higher handlebars will keep your back straighter. Lower handlebars will allow you to slightly lean your back forward (for greater power). Be sure to tighten the toe clips to fit your feet. Our team recommends retightening the screws on the bike every 6 months.
How do you move the bike?
- You can face the bike, - use a foot to hold it in place - and push the handlebars to tip the bike onto its wheels.
What muscles are working?
Your heart, quads, hamstrings, and calves have the fun of working hard as you pedal. Want to keep in shape? The WHO recommends doing this activity regularly and at a moderate pace (slight perspiration, you should be able to hold a conversation while exercising): 22 min/day. To lose weight and, more particularly, reduce body fat, the WHO recommends doing this activity on a regular basis at a moderate pace but for a longer period of time: 44 minutes.
