Very handy compass.
wow i have never seen such small compass graduations in my life ,oh and no luminous points . and like the other load of rubbish i just bought the geonaute wrist compass the rotating bezel is not ratcheted . I'm so disgusted with this i cant be bothered sending it back its going straight in the bin.so to summarize if you need glasses or reading glasses forget it and its useless for night navigation (see above)
New design with oval mirror, when view in 45°, only need to center the mirror with compass ring (echoing the wide needle only need to center with its edge). Mirror reflective coatings around the markings has etched away.

Buzola má obrácenou stupnici, sever ukazuje na 180°,z tohoto důvodu nesnadná orientace a není možné určovat směrníky, v praxi nepoužitelná. Nekupovat !

Product is too bulky. the 45 degree stop for cover is hardly noticeable and flimsy. All scales are too short. Folded/closed is quite bulky, quality of plastic holds for about week of casual use. Also the middle rotation dial is poorly made and dirt gets in between body and dial. I would not recommend, especially for this price. Go for half price regular map compass (not Decathlon) which will serve you better.

Wenn ich zu den Pinguinen gewollt hätte, wäre ich bei den Eisbären angekommen. Nun gut kann passieren. Das Druckbild der zwei Winkel-Skalen (Grad zu Strich) war zueinander versetzt. Da ich nichts mit Artillerie zu tun habe wäre mir das egal gewesen. Der Kompass wurde problemlos zurück genommen. Wenn es ihn mal wieder (besser) gibt kaufe ich ihn.

La verdad como siempre sorprendido de los productos, tengo una de otra marca que es más costosa y funciona exactamente igual. Además la calidad es excelente, una brújula Silva de esas prestaciones no baja de unos 45€.
Materiales de calidad. Quizá un pelín cara.

The most complete compass!
Its features allow you to: - Orient the map- Follow a precise direction- Determine its position via 3 bearings for triangulation- Find an object in the field from a known azimuth
360-degree and 6,400 mil graduations.
The rotating capsule is made up of a double graduation ring: 360 degrees for inner ring and 6,400 mils for outer ring. Graduation in mils, which is more precise, was commonly used for military exercises in the past.
Mirror sight for even more precision
The mirror sighting system allows you to take precise bearings in the field. The small lock at the cover opening allow you to tilt the mirror to an ideal position (45°) to take accurate sightings.To find out how to take a sighting, watch the explanatory video.
3 graduated scales: 1:50,000, 1:25,000 and 1:10,000
The Explorer 900 compass has 3 graduations:A 7-cm graduated rulerA 1:50,000 scaleA 1:25,000 scaleA 1:10,000 scaleA 2.5-inch graduated rulerIt will enable you to make measurements on your map and thus work on reading scales.
Declination scale
You will find a declination scale within the capsule. The magnetic declination is the difference in angle between magnetic north and the geographical north on your map. Find the value of this declination in your country on the internet.
A more precise and intuitive wide needle
When designing this compass, we chose a wide needle to enable a more accurate visual alignment between the needle and the grid lines on the map. Indeed, your needle never sights 1 graduation; it should just be perfectly aligned with the grid lines on the map.
Universal balancing
The needle of this compass is universal. It can be used anywhere around the globe!
