Product Customer Reviews

If you're considering this bike, you're looking for a bike that's cheap, light, and compact. It hits all of those, except for the being a bike part. The lack of gears is the biggest drawback with this bike compared to other similar ones. If you live in a very flat area, it'll get you around, but honestly, a significantly better bike isn't much more expensive. And if you really really need a cheap bike, you're overpaying for this one. I would return it if Decathlon didn't have such a scummy return policy. Never buying from here again.
Thank you for your review on our folding bike 500. I am sorry to see that you are not satisfied with this product. Indeed this bike has a single speed and is meant for flatter terrain while commuting. As our return policy describes, if you are unhappy with the product and it does not meet your expectations, you can return it for a replacement or refund within 90 days of purchase. We kindly ask to have the product returned unused and in new condition within its original packaging.
I hope that this helps you and we look forward to have you discover other products we have in our catalogue that might match better your needs.
Regards
Shipping was very fast and the bike is very compact and folds down nicely, but the "one size fits all" moniker is misleading - people over 5' may find this bike to be uncomfortable to ride.
I bought this bike to avoid using the New York City subway during Covid19. I've been using this bike everyday for a month and I couldn't be happier. I was a bit afraid it was going to be very slow with the small wheels but it's amazing. I'm 5'1 and 125lbs and I'm passing A LOT of fellow cyclists both uphill and downhill. There are no gears but for city use that's just fine. Average speed is 15-18.5mph. It would probably be difficult to go faster than 18.5mph but that's a very good urban speed. It seems that there is possibility to instal a front light but don't know how to get the light that fits there on purpose. Any advice?
Background: I used to use an electric scooter for my short commute to the BART (3miles) and from BART to work in SF (2miles). But found myself not really putting any exercise into it. Thus, this folding bike comes into play. 2 week review (commute every weekday): So far the bike has been excellent for my purposes. It's very ight so I can just pop the saddle to hang on my shoulder going up and downstairs (like a bag with a strap). It's folds extra tiny for the lead car on BART (no full bikes allowed in the lead car, most of the time I don't even fold it in other cars). The ride takes some getting used to, but it's a close of a feel to a full size as you can get with a 14" wheelbase. So far the bike has held up on hopping curbs, running over potholes and water in the SOMA and Financial districts of SF. The components seems good enough quality for a $250 bike. This is a good minimalist folding bike that is light, durable (so far), and easy on the wallet. Great for short distance commutes. The caveats: the seat dosent adjust high enough if you are 5'7" or taller. So you'll find yourself not being able to fully extend your legs on the pedals (inefficient pedaling). Get a larger wheelbase of your taller. Don't expect to go fast on this bike. The single speed gear is conservative and good for about 12-13 mph max on flat ground with a consistent cadence. Probably good for most people. Tips:- bring an extra wrench on your rides as there is no quick release for the wheels. Good for keeping your wheels secure from theft, but not as easy to take off if you need to change the tube. -Frame has a built in handle to carry while in folded mode. - while folding for transport. Fold the stem "inward" to where the bike frame (when foldered) can hang on the stem. This keeps things from flopping around in fold mode. - comes with fenders
Price: almost half price of the 14" famous brand with this 500xs heavier. Alhamdulillah bought this as amazing disc 10% by app during last Raya. Design for simple handling, weight less, effortless pedaling and agile maneuvering Improvement: 1. as requires quite abit of strength to fold and unfold the bike. more lubricant/grease prior handover will be perfect. 2. more detail check-list of accessories/gear installed, as it will be helpful for your further claim 3. right-left break level assignment for front- rear, it may also in checklist to ask the customer what they want as it may custom due to person or region/nation. I would like to express my appreciation for the Decathlon Bekasi that has responsive and prolong effort in providing the complete happiness of my 500xs
Love this bike. Super light weight so it's easy to bring around. But note that the small 14" wheel takes some getting use to.

Tilt 500 14" folding bike is such a nice all aroud utility bike, easy to use and looks durable.
Excellent product!
This is my 2nd folding bike and this is super light compared to the Atomic Neon. It's a bit hard to fold and unfold at first, but maybe once you use it daily it will adjust.
For a first timer, I'm enjoying this bike. I have no problems with it, and it's simple enough to fold. It's a bit difficult to ride uphill though
Ditched a regular bike for this! It's a different ride and handling exp that either u like or hate it! This bike is nimble and compact, suitable for pcn and pavement and easy to navigate thru crowd. I rough use this bike by going up n down narrow kerbs/slopes and has no issue with it. It took me 4hrs to clock 60km via pcn and pavement. Its slow but its doable. I need to buy a new standing pump with a shorter lever for this bike as my old pump with a longer lever cannot be used due to the size of the wheels and tight spokes.
Been using this bike for 3 years and I absolutely love it. It’s light, nimble, and well built. Perfect for short commutes (around 5km) or for longer rides if you have the time and you’re ok to push it when there’s a bit of an upslope. I use it on the pavement and its size is perfect for it. It folds fast and has a handle which is great when you want to carry it on overhead bridges. I am a fan.
We love it so much that we bought another one.
The XS 500 is probably the best budget foldy I know among my many foldies I have. What impresses first of all is the general quality which is excellent for its price point. I was very impressed by the sturdiness and stability of its ride and handling, thanks to the wider 1.5 tyres. Becoz it is relatively light at abt 9kg, it accelerates very quickly and is easy to carry. The fixed gear ratio is set up well for general riding conditions. Cruises at 15kmh easily at Green Corridor. I maxed out at 27kmh. I like the chunky handlebar grips and the saddle is also surprisingly comfortable. All in, a cut above the competition and I dare say its better than my Dahon Dove Plus in comfort, handling and fun. Highly recommended.
I love this product!
