Product Customer Reviews

Fantastic Little Folding bike gives real bang to the buck. Solid choice for people wanting to try out a folding bike.
I’ve been using this bike to commute from Cambridge to March for 2 months now. I must say that if you are looking for a bike to commute, better pay a few more pounds and get one with mudguards and several speeds. The bike is OK, does its job and is not weak at all. Its weight might be annoying if you have to go up and down the stairs plenty of times during your journey. It folds quite easily. Reading reviews I have found that many people have had the same problem with their seats as I did. It seems that it is faulty regarding this matter, so take into account your seat will fall all the way down the first day you use it. Make sure you go to the store so they can adjust it properly.
Inner tube was shredded by second ride - no damage to the tyre, so must have been debris from the store. Very annoyed at having to shell out for a taxi and new tube for a new bike! Brakes very loud and need adjusting. Bike is heavy to carry, but for the price it's to be expected. Folds and unfolds easily.
Folds easy and single speed is simple and effective. Not light but it's a budget bike. Big wheels and tyres allows rough ground cycling and surpasses the Brompton in this regard.
This is basically the same frame as the BTwin 120 but with one gear instead of 6. And therein lies the problem. Because there is no deraillier to give the chain a bit of tension it starts to move around progressively more the more stretched and worn the chain becomes. I've owned my bike for over 2 years now and I have had to do two things to help alleviate the problem temporarily. The first was to get a spanner and move the rear wheel further back into the rear dropouts as the chain stretches. The second was to replace the chain once there was no more space to move the wheel further back with a BMX chain which is slightly wider and tougher. The wheels and tyres are also not the toughest so you need to be careful over bumps and look out for glass. Keep all this in mind and it will get you home. It's just a shame you have to as it could have been a great bike with a little bit more investment.
Had it for a day, rode it for 1/2 hours, weighing about 75kg but seat does indeed slip down on its own bit by bit. Furthermore the seat itself will start to turn. Folding is mechanism isn’t smooth and careful getting the handle stuck on the cranks. Heavy. Tyres were good and the frame was strong.
Chain keeps coming of the bike
This is a really good inexpensive bike for someone who has good to above moderate fitness level. The only problem with the bike it would break down every week or so, if you do not get the right things. So buyer beware make sure you buy spare lights, mud guard to protect the bike brakes, the good quality wheel tyres and the basics such as a helmet
Lovely bike and easy to assemble
Excellent
I bought this bike one month ago and in my first hour riding the bike, the brakes made an unbearable screeching noise and the chain pulled out from the crankset. However, I chose ignored that but looking back in hindsight, that was a poor decision. I should’ve just gone to return the bike because that was my undoing. I was cycling in Uxbridge and all of a sudden the chain pulled out which meant I couldn’t pedal anymore. I got hit by the car behind and broke my toes. Since then the bike chain has pulled out at least 9 times in 1 month of occasional use! In addition, a folding bike is supposed to be easy to carry around but this bike is unbearably heavy and the handle doesn’t stick properly when you fold it so it hits you every single time you carry it. Also, due to the chain problem, it’s incredibly difficult to ride fast. Sometimes I almost ride at walking pace because if I try to accelerate, the chains will most likely pull out and I definitely do not want to break more toes. At this point, I’m definitely done with decathlon. I’ve put the bike on the market for a fraction of the price hoping to get rid of it as soon as possible before it sends me to the cemetery because of its poor design.
Bike is heavier than expected, single gear was a complete pain and didn’t enjoy the slow pace of movement while peddling quickly. I expected the single gear to be a little less easy. Although I don’t know much about bikes. I liked how fast I could fold & unfold the bike. Overall the bike is awkward to carry, because of the way it folds down, it needs something to secure the wheels together and handle bars from moving around.
Hello Miriam,

Thank you,

I wish I paid more attention to the bad reviews on this. An earlier review describes how the seat post came loose and this exact thing happened to me! I have another bike and have been riding on road for a while so am very comfortable riding. I bought this to get my partner into cycling and took it out to test before him. I was riding for no more than 2 mins when I noticed the brakes were very tight so not adjusted well. This was manageable and thought I would just go to get it greased/oiled later. But then after about 5 mins riding I went over a hump and the seat post fell through and scraped the ground. The sudden force made me fall sideways and I have scraped my leg and hand. Luckily no cars were about or else it could have been a lot worse. This product is dangerous! It’s poor design/setup so I would not recommend.
I wish I would pay litle bit more and get better one. It's heavy, and useles. It's definetly not suitable for and adult
